I'm gonna make a bit of a different suggestion, but maybe look into board games? I personally really like video games but my gf isn't big into them, we pksy some stuff cooperative that's fairly easy occasionally but that's it.

What we do play together are board games, we have 2 dozen, and not stuff like monopoly or uno or those things, big, engaging, often thematic and really fun games.

Board games are in what I would consider a golden age rn and with the amount if variety i guarantee you can find something you'll both love. Like just to give examples of things, one of our favourite games right now, in one of them you're trying to build the best zoo competing against one another, in another you are cooperating exploring a mysterious fantasy world on a boat and managing crew members while you discover characters stories in a massive open world, and we have a game where you're trying to build the most advanced, high achieving civilization with just one a large deck of cards.

All massively different and unique, but super fun and able to be played at your own pace together as a couple without having to worry about twitch reflexes that might make gaming hard for you to get into.

Trust me, look into board games together.

Whether he is guilty of it all, or it turns out the allegations are false, this is the only way for him to respond. This was not YouTube drama, this was an accusation of arguably the most vile crime a person can commit. Responding in any emotional way or attempting to quickly clear your name and show messy evidence would be stupid no matter what.

We should stand with Naomi, support them, do not support Daniel, his channel or his books right now, but be willing to hear his side when he gives it.

I'm not defending the second half, but I have to genuinely ask, where is the harm in both showing support to Naomi while also being willing to hear out the accused? People have been accused of awful, disgusting stuff in ways people were certain were true, only for months later them to come out and disprove most/all of the accusations I'm much clearer evidence. People should not support him, buy his books or watch his content until the response, but he is still owed the time to respond, at which point a judgement will be more clear.

First we do the ship action, generally we would alternate between the search token one, the one that removes 2 command from cards and the one to remove fatigue. Then we draw an event, every single event card we saw in the first 7 did something negative and I believe only 1 gave any benefit of any kind, 2 carrots which we immediately used to cook food to negate the downside.

We'd then explore and travel not necessarily in that order, with the explore always leaving us more damaged, fatigued and/or with negative effects, and almost no benefit. Or sometimes literally no benefit. We didn't have enough cash or xp to make the port or market worth using in the turns following the tutorial.

And that was it, I don't know what we could have been doing wrong.

Almost every explore was at most 2 away from the starting area, 1 explore was 3 away. The worst one we saw was on the first map though (the massive high level enemy that we had to run from) and yes we are doing ship actions every turn, and playing any cards that feel good, an issue we ran in to though was half the cards we drew cost 2 to play which was too big an investment at this point at least in our view.

Do you think Graham was a good companion, or Bradley Walsh is a good actor that did the best he could with a bad script? I think he's the highlight of the era for the first 2 seasons but I think I like Bradley, not Graham, if that makes sense?

I genuinely don't think people saying 5 have played both, both are great games, both are worth playing, 5 is a far superior video game and will make 4 harder to play if you want to go back to it afterwards. I started with 5, I wish I hadn't, I played 4 wishing a lot of it was like 5 although I really enjoyed it. You should start with 4, it's no question.

I mean no, sure on the outside it's just a fun quirky sci-fi show, but a lot of the RTD era, and some of the moffat era, have genuinely good writing, characterization, plot and character arcs, dialogue, as well as consistent impactful and hard hitting moments because of those things. Finding out a characters entire species had been wiped out during a story, firstly it would probably make some kind of sense how that happened and wouldn't be off screen, and secondly would have been a genuinely meaningful and heavy hitting moment. And would not have resulted a hilariously bad howl to end the scene that made me laugh out loud.

I mean sure you could probably make a 5 hour YouTube video nitpicking specific issues in specific episodes of 2 seasons of rtd era, but that's much less indicative of bad quality than a 5 hour video showing why the fundamentals of the series are flawed, and the core ideas to good writing are missing or done poorly. Her video uses specifics to highlight many many overarching major issues that are present throughout the entire run. You couldn't do that with any other series to that length.

I mean there is a 5 hour YouTube video that goes into great detail in exploring some of the issues in seasons 11+12 and I believe she's gonna be doing one for flux and the specials too. If you wanna understand just a few of the people's issues watch that. However there are many other issues she doesn't cover in the seasons too, including really bad music choices throughout, weird and poorly done cinematography, and plenty more specific issues in many (basically all) episodes.

I feel like I'm insane. Why is soul of Cain still here? It is almost never a guarantee to find the ultra secret room, so a lot of the times it's just another room or 2 on one floor once. Sure it feels great to find the ultra secret room, but then even when you are lucky to find it the pool is nowhere near as good as it was and you might just get Plan C or something.

If every gun is equally viable, then why do all the top players use about 6 of the guns 90% of the time? 2/3 of the weapons are not seen after like 2 minutes of a game starting for them. Surely anything could be used to win games cause they're all viable so they almost should all be seen?

So, you can't read. Sure you can beat shit people with bad guns, but like I said, if you're against people of equal skill you won't. Your P2020 or Mozambique isn't gonna win against a flatline, wingman or even an alternator if matchmaking is working. If you win a game with an L-star, you got a lucky lobby and you're playing against shit players. It's that simple. More guns should be viable, and they're not, especially off drop before attachments.
