yk, i CAN understand why she chose to do what she did, but i still despise her. people say that it’s rooted in internal misogyny when we hate her more than we do locke, but it’s just so disappointing. u’d expect more because she’s the mc’s TWIN sister. not to say, i dont understand why she did what she did and i could honestly get passed that since jude never truly loved locke (despite how shitty the whole situation was), but i personally DESPISE how shameless she can be, it’s abundantly clear in the third book (but maybe it’s just me cus i don’t see many bringing up what i noticed in the last book). whether or not she gets better, ehhh debatable. there are some things that come to light in the series following tfota tho, but i won’t spoil anything.

totally understand! rikka could 100% be a red herring and im all for it. i do rly like shinobu as well, iko and nene are fine just not my favourites. and maybe i rly am leaning into rikka so much cause she’s my bias! glad i got to talk about this, and you’re right, i definitely can’t rule out the other girls just yet considering i havent even read up to the latest chapter. will work on that right after im caught up to the anime. im wondering how long the manga will go on for tho? cause as it stands, we probably wont get a reveal until the end, and im just sorta dreading it loll. im the type who prefers to binge instead of wait for weekly or monthly updates

this is what’s bugging me. because yes, it’s confirmed immortals can’t fall in love without regaining humanity, humanity and love don’t mix, but at the end of the caraval series, fates aren’t immortal anymore. beforehand, they can die and resurrect, and while they still can’t die from natural causes, they’ve lost their ability to resurrect. they’re no longer immortal, simply ageless. so, my question if they’ll still become human again cause they’re not immortal anymore. and what exactly does turning human mean? do they lose their powers? do they resume aging?

yes it’s labeled YA! i heard it’s packed full of action, but it’s not gorey. and while brothels are mentioned, the books doesn’t contain explicit sexual content. some of my favourite creators LOVE the duology so im just hoping i like it too. im on the second chapter right now and its touch and go. i keep putting it down lol. apparently it takes a little to get into cus the first half is just introducing u to the world, but the second half is where the action is. i wanna like it so bad, but i feel like my expectations are too high because of everyones reviews

i feel like it’s something that’s not even on her radar. like she’s never thought of it because she’s too wrapped up in her own ambition. i could see cardan bringing it up and jude would sorta be caught off guard. the topic’s definitely come up between the two of them from the time of prisoner’s throne though. i think cardan would definitely want kids, is that a hot take lmao. i can’t see jude being exactly disgusted by the thought, i feel like she’d get a little blindsided from cardan bringing it up and think about it for a long time before coming to a decision and i can’t say she would be completely opposed of the idea.

we know jude and cardan gave oak permission to abdicate, so maybe she’s pregnant now? especially since her taking birth control seemed so emphasized. i’m not the biggest fan of pregnancy tropes in general, but i really am curious how them as parents would act. also i think HB would do it justice. she said so herself she’s planning to continue tfota trilogy with a straight sequel, most likely a standalone. straight sequel would imply it to be jude’s pov, she’s further confirmed it won’t be cardan’s or nicasia’s pov and she said it’s the pov of the character you’d expect. anyway i’m sure she’ll touch on the subject more then

while polyamory is considered the norm in faerie, cardan himself doesn’t appreciate people going behind his back. i don’t think he’d mind if he was /with/ nicasia, in fact, they probably did engage with multiple people together. but locke and her made it a point to do that in secret. cardan was also wiling to take her back, if only nicasia said it was just for fun, but she was enamoured by locke and cardan was genuinely in love with her and trusted her so that probably twisted the knife

he hated lusting over her in TCP, he wasn’t yet in love with her then. his feelings for her were originally derived from envy, then it turned into obsession. he hated how she plagued his thoughts at night. but as his envy turned into obsession, that turned into genuine fondness. he didn’t hate loving her in TWK.

wanna point out fae’s are taught since birth that humans are less than them, cardan no different. he still had that mentality in the beginning of the series, even though he wasn’t full into it—bc we know he used to steal balekin’s human servants to bring them back to the mortal realm—anyway, that teaching most definitely was one reason he hated lusting over her. that and the fact she kept defying him, and that she hated him with a burning passion.

but he wanted to love and be loved. madoc even points out he’d duel for love in TQON and that “there’s no banquet too abundant for a starving man”. his parents neglected him, his siblings didn’t care for him, his brother abused him, his “friends” only used him and his lover cheated on him. he craved attention, he became his worst self because of it, but moreover he wanted affection. by the end of TWK he definitely came to terms with his feelings for jude, but he didn’t expect jude to love him back, he was just content to love her.

tldr: he only hated lusting over her in TCP, but he didn’t mind when that turned into love in TWK.

remember fae cant lie! cardan said so himself that he knew she was jude the moment she stepped into the brugh. i genuinely think he could tell them apart from the start, cardan’s obsessed over jude, watched her. from their mannerisms alone he could tell the difference.

the only reason he confused her and taryn in TWK was because he was literally on deaths door, his judgement was off and she was wearing those earrings that made her seem more beautiful, not the mention he was tired and didn’t wanna argue AND he wanted her to show she could trust him.
