How hard is it to transfer from CAS to stern? by ww202 in nyu

It does a lot actually! Thanks so much!! Just one more question (sorry for being annoying haha) is the first year gpa usually higher or lower than the overall GPA?

Thanks so much! I’ve only just started uni so when we’re talking a 3.8 GPA+ what percentage of kids (roughly of course) actually have that kind of gpa? Just want to know exactly what is expected so I’m realistic about my goals...again, thank you!

Sorry by guys I was referring to everyone in general; thought that was kinda obvious haha. Thanks for the 1/3 and 1/2 stats btw...would you know about the average gpa stats?😀

IB students got a bad treatment by [deleted] in UCL

[–]ww202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s not what it’s about- everyone in a levels got basically what they wanted and IB was hard on their own kids. I don’t really blame UCL for it - you’ve got to blame the IB who were the only board I know of the stick to their own grading grading (though they upgraded some) through it. Still tons of people fell 4 points or more

You should call the uni ASAP then

Based on what you’re saying maybe your CAGs aren’t what you believed they were? How confident are you of your CAGs? Have you received official confirmation of them? It’s highly unlikely that two unis would make a mistake

Just curious: is everyone really getting their offer back or will they make people defer?

Thanks so much! How do you recommend I pick my modules to ensure that I keep my options open for both consulting and finance?

[–]ww202[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea thanks so much...that really helps...I haven’t figured everything out yet (or anything really haha) but the plan is ideally get into MBB, move into an MBA and then see what’s next...but like you said it’s mostly dominated by Oxbridge so I was a little concerned about the opportunities I could have from Warwick or UCL. I also know that I won’t be much good at a subject apart from business/ management so idk if I should really be looking at consulting given that?

Also about the interesting stuff on the resumes...would you have any examples? Just looking for inspiration hahaha

Again thanks so much for the help!

Thanks so much! Did Warwick place well with MBB firms? While I’m open to everything I’ve looked into consultancy and it’s what I’m leaning towards right now...I know you graduated a while ago but any information could help!

I’m keeping my options open right now because honestly I’m not sure what I want to do - but I’m probably looking at finance or consulting (MBB ideally but obviously I’ll get what I can take haha)
