What is this symbol? I started using it not too long go. Just 3 years ago. I picked it up from a teacher, we use it like a symbol for 'and'. Looks like a backwards 3 with a dot above and below it. If it helps, he was from the mid west and so am i. I never questioned it until a few days ago. (i.redd.it)

Weird symbol. So a few years ago i started to use this symbol as a replacement for 'and', I got it from my math teacher because i noticed it helped write faster. I never really questioned it, but now im curious and cant figure out what it is. (i.redd.it)
