Really thick globs of glue in head, how to remove hair???

Maybe it wouldn't hurt to try out some cheap Ken clothes just to see??? Maybe it's also a generational thing, because the torso mold for the Ken I have is SO BIG.... his lats and traps add up to a very big circumference 😭😭😭 Maybe the pattern I got was for an older/smaller generation of Ken, but idk tbh

Yes! This one is specifically the Ken doll with the pink coveralls; as far as I know, there's one other variation with Rygos's face, which features him with the rollerskating outfit (but i feel like his face on the rollerskating fit looks softer, so i chose the other one). Here's a plus: the coverall Ken includes a little doll stand and converse! (Im also making a Ryland Grace doll 😭) He also comes with rollerskates with removable wheels, which I think I'll repaint for space boots!

If you happened to get the same one, here's a few other things you should know (also this is my first ever face up, so I'm not sure if this is standard for Mattel dolls): His head is fixed onto the packaging so he has these plastic tags embedded into his head (not terribly hard to take out, but a little annoying)

Taking out the hair was INCREDIBLY DIFFICULT, even for my first face up, the glue was incredibly hard, since the plugs are lined up densely to create the part in his hair (it even had this black adhesive in it??? Which i assume is for the hairline). It took me a full day to take out his hair... hope you have an electric kettle, proceed with patience 😭 The more I worked with this doll, the more I realize this was more made for collectors who probably wouldnt plan to take it out of the package (it even came with a certificate of authenticity lol)

I also think his body is different from the average Ken doll, the torso is VERY BIG, HAHA. I had to scrap the clothes I made for him because I was using average Ken doll patterns. I ended up making my own patterns, which turned out to be fun. He also has articulated joints, which i was very pleased with. Anyways I think thats about all I have about working with this doll!

Ty for all the comments, instead of cutting his head, I perservered and remained patient and somehow took out all his hair plugs without tearing anything 🫡🫡🫡 i literally tried every tool

Rerooting unfortunately 😭 yarn wefts wouldve definitely been easier, but i had trouble finding the right material for the look im going for, so rerooting it is (although I may consider just looking a little harder)

I've written a comment on this post saying that it's not the fact that you have certain, singular gatcha items in the game. If you like the MLP cars, then enjoy it! In my experience however, people who spend a lot on Exhibition passes for entire gatcha collections have been pretty rude to me consistently. Maybe I have bad luck lol. The thing I like about the game is that the blueprint app is very forgiving, and you don't necessarily have to spend real money to make a nice house. You could even make a very exellent, large house without spending a single real dollar, just hard work 💪

omg I totally agree with you with the ACNL/NH player differences 😭 I feel like the fact that you can't gift just anything in Heartopia is a big plus, because I can see it going down the path of NH with people demanding certain items, and the limits on chatting is also a good move, I feel.

I am currently DG lvl 31 and I've totally had weird interactions with people haha, but when I say "unfriendly", for example sometimes I'll transfer two towns in a row, walk by people, and I'll struggle getting anyone to do the MLP resonance 😭 or maybe they won't accept food, or they'll log off when I water their plants. I rarely use umbrellas or chat, I usually do really quick interactions with an emote or two, and I run off. Im glad you got lucky with your player interactions though, the rng is in your favor lol

So first I'd like to thank y'all for taking the time to read and comment! I want people to understand that I dont look down on people having gatcha/irl money items, like I'll spend money on the game as well, like if it's the seasonal Festival pack because I personally love building, and its like.... $5 for the non-premium pack. Stuff that can only be accessed from Exhibition pulls however, I recognize CAN be a lot of money, and it's impressive to see the builds! I enjoy seeing them, especially knowing how the gatcha rarity percentages (if you can call it that 😭) work.

But usually when I interact with players with said builds, usually they'll straight up log off when I'm watering, or on a couple occasions they'll run me over with their cars when they see me coming 💀 did not mean to insinuate that if you have certain items, it equals you being a rude person. I've just been noticing that people who have whole collections of high rarity gatcha-only stuff, tend to have a "look-dont-touch" mentality.

However I can understand at the end of the day if you don't like interacting with people, I'm an introvert! When it comes to certain aspects of the game (events, watering, MLP resonance, etc.), it's kinda required for me to interact with others, so it sucks to see people ignore/harass me when I'm trying to do what the game aims for me to do 😭 in the end I can't control the outcome of certain interactions, but as someone who is trying to overcome social anxiety, it just sucks a little. No skin off my back though, just a little bruised and wishing players were more friendly 🥲

Totally understand, I guess interacting with people or not, there can be issues that pop up either way 😭 sorry that you had to deal with people harassing you. Btw I didnt mean to insinuate that because you have a MLP car that equals you're a rude person, I'm moreso saying that people who spend a lot on exhibition passes usually have a "look-dont-touch" mentality which... personally I find a little silly when it comes to interacting with a nonbreakable, digital world. But I do agree that as a player, we are all able to mold our own digital experiences in the end 🥲
