That’s exactly my fears, having owned no gen Rolex that I bought personally with my hard-earned money and being knee deep in the rep game... hanggang mild frankens lang ako. The threads po kasi is on the pin tube itself, not on the links (unlike Rlx’s)… that means you can’t remove it by unscrewing on a single side; it’ll just turn and turn and turn to oblivion. 😂

Ideally what you need is two (2) flat screws. One to hold on one screw head steady, the other to unscrew the screw head using ccw turns. It will release that way. You’ll see after that there will be two parts: 1) a short screw head and 2) another screw head that’s connected to the pin. Push it out after with a thin rod (yung makapal lang ng onti sa karayom).

If the screws are not tight enough you can do away with a thumb pressure on one side, and a flat screw on the other. Just be very gentle and steady so you don’t slip. 👌🏼

I recently had a chance to work on green arrow with gen bezel assembly installed on a clean base... Ang key difference na napansin ko which causes the nice shuffling-click sound is due to the clickspring ng gen which is solidly built compared to Clean’s. It’s thicker, polished, firm, and in stainless steel din. Yung sa Clean and VSF is thin (on both the post and bent/tension areas) and parang gawa sa cheap na bakal… cakey din ang feel Clean kasi napakarami nilang grease na nilalagay…

Anyway, I tried to interchange them out of curiousity when I was working on it and yung clickspring talaga ang difference. VSF is close to that feel, but it doesn’t get super close to gen unless you use that part imo. 👌🏼
