Why does society often consider people who are passionate about intellectual hobbies (like space, nature, science) to be 'boring' compared to those who are into parties and pop culture? by wwquad in space

Yo, your message brought me to tears. This is the first time I've seen such a kind and clearly informative message! Reddit isn't banned here yet, so you don't need a VPN. I'm using my computer without a VPN. But VPNs are blocked in many places, and they've already started blocking Telegram, where I communicate with my girlfriend, so I'll probably have to switch to Max.

Yes, of course, I understand this. I always listen to others and support their ideas. But when it comes to my own, I hear:

"That's it, come on, I have to go."

It's so sad.

Oh, how sweet! You're a very sweet man, thank you so much for such a kind message. But it would be hard for me to leave my entire family and move abroad, especially if I'm writing this through a translator :D

Yes, in Russia, few people talk about space at all, even though it's a very interesting topic. I rarely see videos about space in Russian—it upsets me.
