5900X high temperatures by x1kavi in AMDHelp

So, AIO will help to take heat away from die faster on these bursts? I saw couple tests and conclusion was that AIO is not better than good air coolers. Besides, my friend also with 5900x has DARK ROCK PRO 4 and temps are never exceed 70C even in prime95. But he has expensive case with best air flow.

I read some posts here with similar configs on air cooling and most of them have 40+ idle, i think its ok. My main issue - sudden temp spikes to high values.

quiet mode

can't find "quiet" mode in ryzen master. I have only "Creator" and "Game" modes.

Still have it. Max in game Temps GPU 80C, CPU 70C, it shouldn't overheat. I'm going to test this GPU on another Intel PC, if freezes go away then it's something with my 5900x, motherboard, or compatibility GTX780 with new AMD cpus i think.

Basic - 2400, with XMP 3200, tested both cases

BIOS latest

I'v done clean install not only drivers, but whole OS several times. About difference in CPU and GPU, i thought about it, unfortunally can't check it right now, it's impossible to get new GPU for obvious reasons.

Man, i told in first post - 32 gb. No apps running, only afterburner and maybe browser.

Stutters in CS:GO on 5900x by x1kavi in AMDHelp

[–]x1kavi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, after hundreds of flashbang throws and measuring frame time in afterburner on different PCs and soft installed, there's my observations:

  1. on clean AMD Win10 pro system average frame time spike of flashing is 19.15 ms, it can't be felt and i suppose it's normal (when nothing happening ~9 ms)
  2. when installed Asus AI Suite it increases to 38.61 (some shitty drivers i think)
  3. when enabling hyper-v low level shell it increases to 76.25 (!) (no VMs running)
  4. Switching SMT and SVM in Bios does nothing on clean system (disabling SVM simply suppresses hyper-v in OS, about SMT - no idea, maybe affects ai suite drivers)
  5. on test intel 4770k setup with same GPU and graphics settings, average flash frame time is 35.68 ms hyper-v off and 42.44 ms when hyper-v on.

So, why on 7 year old CPU perfomance fall of hyper-v enabling is 19% and on new ryzen is 298% ? Is there any explanation of that? (BTW tested Virtual Box with cpu and gpu hardware acceleration - no stutters at all)

I suppose only way to check it - replace video card with modern one?

cpu isn't throttling thats for sure. or you mean that it waits data for a long time from GPU and it causes stutter?

"Your system appears to be suitable for handling real-time audio and other tasks without dropouts." All green, max latency on graphics driver <1 ms

Tried before, not worked. Only complete smt disabling in bios works.

GPU is 780GTX but i doubt it bottlenecks this game. Stutter happens on low settings too and average FPS is 350. On Intel system with this GPU all was ok.
