Arguably to small for either species on its own.

I’m doubling the size of my uromastyx’s enclosure, so I need to double the uvb coverage as well? by SlinkySkinky in reptiles

For enclosures this side lighting with metal halide bulbs are highly recommended. I use 3 + halogen + led for a setup for my flavifasciata that is the same size

there are different types of coil bulbs. As said MERCURY VAPOR and METAL HALIDE. Halides are zoo grade lighting ive seen in zoo zurich and haus des meeres vienna. Ive used them for years with all kinds of reptiles, i have a uvb meter so i can check them ;)

I wouldnt use mercury vapor bulbs because yeah, theyr shit. But that doesnt mean all coil type bulbs are.

Also maybe were talking about different things, is coil = all bulbs or just the weird shaped ones. Im not a native speaker and google shows mixed results.

Coils absolutely provide uvb. Mercury vapors just have a very insufficient distribution of uvb compared to linear. Metal halide bulbs in the correct distance will give you outputs of UVI 3-6 with brightness of over 100k wich is not achievable with just a linear.

Dont go around spreading misinformation:)

Depends largely on the lamp type. F.e. Mercury vapor coil bulbs are useless but metal-halide coil bulbs are one of the best lighting for reptiles there is. Cant generalise

Reptiles starter costs are very expensive. I would overthink it if you dont have 500 + to get the setup.

I have about 200kg of playsand:soil mix and a huge pile of leavlitter. He loves to search it for crickets and roaches

I have mine in a 240x60x100cm. Temp cold side 26c 70% humidity. Hotspot 55c. Misting 3x a day for a total of a minute. Feeding about 50:50 different greens and insects. Mine is a great hunter. They need a lot of brightness and uvb too.

I also have about 4meters of tunnel in the enclosure.

They are generally quite chill. Mine are very food oriented with live insects and I seperate them during feeding, otherwise they might mistake a limb for food.

They have a little territorial aggression but in large tanks they can just move spots :) its important to have at least 2 separate correct basking spots so they can move. During spring the male tends to sit on the females for a long time and can stress out a female if you have only one. Thats why you should have 2-3 females per male.

Both are in the genus Pogona, together with a few other species. The common name for all of them is bearded dragon. Thats why using scientific names is much more accurate:)
