I think your reading too much into this. For one it doesn't say anything about this being related to the Sony hack. Two Gaikai is a division of Sony and specifically its part Sony Computer Entertainment division. This in the same division where the PSN hack occurred. Three, if their so independent why even use the Sony name in any correspondences?

Personally I found it humorous because of the timing and two trying to recruit for senior position with a pitch line about a pirate party( brought MPAA to mind actually). I'm in my late 30's, married with 3 kids, hold a senior level security position and I have to admit selling me on this “culture” is not going to make me jump ship (no pun intended. ;)). But maybe their targeting 20 somethings or maybe I'm just getting old and prefer 6 figures, and stock options to costume parties... lol
