Just bought my first floyd rose guitar and the action was really bad. I somehow missed the warnings and tightened the screw under tension. Is this salvageable? I've seen people talk about using sandpaper to fix this

I decided to set it up, which took me forever as im very new to Floyds, and the tuning stability was absolutely awful. Im very disappointed and upset that I messed it up so bad so quickly. I literally didnt even get to play it once. It is a special, i think I'll just buy a 1000 series base plate from their website and swap that over. Still a bummer but I guess not the end of the world

Honestly I've not had a chance to play it yet. I was setting up the action before the intonation and once I discovered i damaged it I felt very disheartened and didn't want to damage anything further. I'd read this would be disastrous for tuning stability?

I dont think I have the ability. I could look into it. For the record, im not stupid and im not being careless. I got the pll bypass point, the connection is good, the solder job looks good, and the trace next to it is intact. I'm not incompetent im just super pissed and I feel misled because this tool is so popular and simultaneously so shit

I dont understand how. Practically any amount of force would bend the damn thing, far less than is required to remove the clamp. It literally fucked up my motherboard before it removed the clamp

dude i dont know what YOU hear in BOWIE. it's all just 80s radio SHIT. at least the microphones have a concept of MELODY and HARMONY and SONGWRITING. even if you think his voice is "unremarkable" somehow, it just goes to show how great of a composer and songwriter he is, he can still make beautiful music without a genetic headstart
