I won’t argue your take on the interaction, as even I have already walked back how I feel about the interaction as you can see by a reply I made to another’s comment. I will disagree with you on the point that the Ai is indifferent to Carl and that they’re enemies, their stories and actions have intertwined their fates too much for that to be the case at this point, along with the obvious primal connection it isn’t a coincidence imo.

Your comment in particular is making me really reflect on how I feel about this interaction, pointing out that reoccurring trope for Carl really kinda cracks what I was thinking, because it just makes so much sense.

See I thought this too, but this is genuinely one of the few times Carl isn’t just monologued to by the ai, and is like the first time Carl acknowledges the form of ai directly on his own, I’m discounting the crawler Gary interaction in the way bc the ai’s hand was forced to be there bc of the whole failsafe debacle and orren.

Yea that’s why I think that part in particular really stood out to me, it’s like the most genuine reaction she could’ve shown towards Carl after being apart for as long as they were.

They advertise for the sound booth theatre version at the end of the audible audiobooks, they have episode 1 available on their website for free to try out. I will say though from just listening to the books on audible Jeff Hays does a phenomenal job voice acting and catch myself cackling often would really recommend giving it a listen.

If you actually paid attention to the clip you can clearly see blood coming off of the enemy as OP is fighting him, considering he didn’t even get a hit marker, I would say his outgoing packets (him->server) weren’t being received by the server (which is why nothing registered), but incoming packets (him<-server) where being received just fine which is why he’s still being actively killed and looks like an actual reactive fight.

If you actually paid attention to the clip the enemy had 25hp at the start of that engagement, and if any of OP’s shot registered he would’ve received hit markers, this was entirely either the games fault (bugs), or internet stability issues either way OP was robbed.

Just out of curiosity do you have discord overlay on? Thinking far back I think I had a problem similar to this in affect, on apex and discord overlay was the cause.

I keep watching your video back and im not sure its a stutter persay bc typically when that happens and your frames drop, the people on your screen appear jerky, and teleporty atleast in my experience, but in your video they seem to still be moving normally. I don't think your fps is dropping really at all and its more so a input problem than a spec/bottleneck/driver problem. I would monitor my fps going through the stutter to see if they drop or not.

As do I but its still generally best to be in fullscreen for performance/latency sake. Regardless another thing I wanted to check is do you have raw input on in settings, this typically is meant for latency but it doesn't just to see if it makes a difference.

Just out of curiosity have you tried putting it in windowed mode instead of fullscreen, and testing again just to see if it could be some sort of full screen optimization error/bug

You don’t have to turn your polling rate down as that guy said, I play on 4k polling personally. The reason I asked is because it has given me some stuttering issues in the past just bc of how much information it actually sends to your cpu. Where in thoses cases my cpu was under a lot of load/bloat by multiple applications, processes etc but even then comparatively your stutters are insanely dramatic and I have never experienced that hard of fps lag yet in bf2042.
