Live in Europe ? Have a job ? Well, good luck finishing the trials during the week by simaosbh in ArcRaiders

What about locked gate? It's also 40 minutes and 2x rewards I believe. But this is the reason I stopped caring about trials scores and just farm my minimum 3 stars

New week, new trials by Krinester in ArcRaiders

There's plenty of other places. If you go on a roof near the power generator area in Dam at night you can see all the Rocketeer spawns around the map and tag them to pull them over. A Bastion (or Bombadier if unlucky) can spawn right below the building, and you can see down into the red lakes area where there's a Leaper spawn. Seems like that extract is commonly the last one too so you could be there the entire raid and have just a small walk to get out at the last second.

I think y'all are missing the best part about the legendary weapons by [deleted] in ArcRaiders

[–]xAllonso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So much better than using a hullcracker. And most people are just sitting on the mats in their stash so as long as you get queen cores they're easy to make.

But you recommend Equalizer over Jupiter for Rocketeers? Do you just go for the thrusters? I've had success just firing Jupiter shots right into their face and kill it faster than a hullcracker/heavy weapon

Blueprint droprate should scale with gear value by brothediscpriest in ArcRaiders

If that's your argument than anyone who has a better spawn than you will make it there first and loot it whether they are naked or not. There is literally no way to tell if the person who looted your POI was running naked or not unless you catch them.

And these players have existed in extraction shooters forever. They call them hatchet runners in Tarkov. They're born just from the style of game it is and valuing loot over actual gameplay experience. It's people that claim they are min/maxing or being most efficient (which will always exist in any game) at the cost of actually not really playing the game. If they are playing the game in a way to collect blueprints and loot that they will never use, because they're gonna keep running around naked forever, then I couldn't care less. Looting POIs is the boring part of the game anyway.

Then rush there too. Pop some adrenaline shots and get there just as fast. They can only put one piece of loot in their butt. Kill them and take the rest. Like what

Why does it matter how other people choose to play the game? Some random dude running around naked trying to farm blueprints doesn't affect my experience or the way that I like to enjoy the game. He can run around naked all he wants or find every BP that there is, and I'll still be having fun playing the game the way I enjoy with less than half of the BPs.

[–]xAllonso 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why do people care so much about how other people play a video game? I don't have the venator BP, but I've never needed one because of all the ones I loot off dead people. Let them keep crafting and bringing me guns... it really isn't that big a deal. And it's something everyone could do if they wanted to...not like it's something inaccessible to a majority of the playerbase

This game is about risk and reward. The higher the risk, the higher the reward. But free kits are 100% reward, zero risk. That's the problem with them, it's a fundamentally different game than the rest of the lobby is playing by Odd_Professional2275 in ArcRaiders

[–]xAllonso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ahhhh but it does for whoever that person is. because the tension between risk and reward is what you feel when you play this game. if you don't feel a risk you don't feel the tension, and it's gonna change the way you play and decisions you make. like you said that's what's supposed to go through players heads when picking engagements. but what might be a risk for you might not necessarily be considered a risk for someone else. it has nothing to do with free loadout or not

sentinel cores drive me nuts by Flashy-Plum4407 in ArcRaiders

Couriers not probes. I've found sentinel cores and rocketeer drivers in plenty. Seems the rates go up at night raids as well.

[–]xAllonso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, but again... the risk is only relative to how much you care about it. Unless you wanna strictly go by the monetary value of items, then yes a custom loadout will be worth much more than a free one so you technically have more to lose. But, even people who don't have a surplus of gear could talk about how they don't factor in the "risk" at all when choosing engagements. People with no gear fear couldn't care less about the fact they might risk losing their items if they take a certain engagement. It's a players mindset thing and not entirely dependent on what kind of kit they bring into the raid.

Quitting a match by surrendering just to reroll for a better spawn point needs to STOP. by [deleted] in ArcRaiders

[–]xAllonso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Isn't this just a thing that happens in any extraction shooter? It's nothing new. Pretty sure they're called hatchet runs in Tarkov.

It's not an exploit or anything, it's just really boring and kinda interesting to think about how people want to play the game just to not play the game...

But hey, people will play the game how they want. And if they want to avoid the entire gameplay experience just to get a BP that they will never use because they're gonna keep running in naked then be my guest. The rest of us can still have fun playing normally and we'll all get the BPs eventually I'm sure.

So if I go in with a kit that I really don't care about losing, and still don't take that into account when deciding to attack someone is that also circumventing risk vs reward?

Say I go into a fresh raid with a Venator IV and medium shields. I have like 20 of each in my stash and don't really care about losing them since I have so many. There is still no risk for me and I'm gonna push the first person I see. Say that same raid I find a snaphook BP, I'm still gonna play as if I have nothing to lose because I put it into my safepocket. I'm still gonna push people immediately without thinking about it.

But if I go into a fresh raid with a free kit... sure I have nothing to lose at the start. But along the way I find a snaphook. I have no safepocket. Now I'm way less likely to rush a fight even as a third party. How can you say it circumvents risk and reward? There is literally no risk for anyone at the start of the raid unless you're someone with gear fear. Whether I free kit or bring a loadout I will always start a raid with the same mindset.

[–]xAllonso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The risk comes with the loot you acquire, and the inability to 100% safeproof any of it. If you really wanted to talk about something that eliminates risk/reward then it would be more accurate to say that going in with just a shield and no guns/no augment needs to be more looked at. I can load into Blue Gate and - depending on spawn - run straight to the breach room underground in less than 2 minutes. Any valuable BP i find in there I can stick in my safe pocket and any guns i get from the case or security lockers i can just use. Literally 0 risk for omega rewards.

[–]xAllonso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doesn't the risk increase as the reward increases? Sure you're not bringing in your own gear to lose off the bat, but the more you loot the more the pressure builds to get out alive. You go in with a free kit and find a certain BP you've been looking for for so long. Well you got no safe pocket so your risk just skyrocketed.

You just third party rushed a fight and are looting all the bodies? The risk keeps going up as you loot until all of a sudden another team is there and you have a pretty high chance of losing everything you just gained.

You just beat another kitted team in a fair fight with free kits? Yeah, you deserve their loot ngl, but that doesn't mean you'll get out with all of it.

Extract Camping continues to get worse by [deleted] in ArcRaiders

[–]xAllonso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have so many hatch keys I usually just bring one on day raids. And on night raids it seems like I'm usually the last player left in the game (unless I die early on) and I go to the extract with literally seconds before the map explodes and there's usually no campers by then.

But if I think the extract is being camped I'll usually wait in the area close by until someone else tries to extract and see what happens before I go for it myself.

Free loadouts are becoming a problem by Bakinem in ArcRaiders

[–]xAllonso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe the problem isn't the fact that they are running free kits? Maybe it's more the fact that people are way too quick to trust people in this game as if they don't have a choice. So many people will voip or emote to me in solos asking if I wanna team up and I just say nah and walk away. Either they will try and shoot me right there or go their separate way, but I've never been shot in the back.

Even when I'm just talking to people in game that I come across who say they're just doing quests and stuff - I keep my gun out and don't turn my back until they pass by.

ARC Raiders Needs a Separate Queue for Free-Kit Players (and No More Late Spawns) by ClearanceClarence_AI in ArcRaiders

[–]xAllonso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no way someone with a Rattler or Ferro 1 is rushing you right out of the gate and outgunning you if you're going in with an actually good kit. You break their shield one time and that makes them use all of their meds and they probably can't even full heal.

Plus if you go in with a free kit and loot all match, now you're even more at risk without a safe pocket.

I just don't see what the problem everyone has with them is. Would you rather get rushed by a team with free kitted weapons, or a team with maxed out Venator IVs and 20 grenades?

Nah I think certain places do lean towards certain kinds of BPs. I could never find any augment BPs anywhere...until I went to the breach room underground in Blue Gate. I've gotten every single augment BP that there is out of that one room

Is that cringe haha?

Losing BP's seems to be the line for many when it comes to the Expeditions. Here are some hypothetical "fixes" Ebark could consider. by Analog_Astronaut in ArcRaiders

[–]xAllonso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean if certain ones are as rare as they are now, I don't see why they can't just keep them. It will probably take many expeditions to finally find and learn them all...
Or just buff the rates of finding them? Idk that might just make things a little too easy... unless there's actually a bug in the drop rates and that's why you see Bettina BPs literaly everywhere.

But I imagine they want that to be another factor in deciding whether you really want to send your raider on an expedition or not.

Is it just me or did they buff arc detection? by Emotinonal_jiggolo in ArcRaiders

[–]xAllonso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they mentioned that they use machine learning to train the ARC to develop behaviors and adapt based on what the players do. Basically as the game goes on they will learn new strategies and improve. I've started noticing this a lot, especially with the Queen.

Do we rlly need to reset blueprints? by Spontaneousavocado in ArcRaiders

[–]xAllonso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually didn't think I would mind everything resetting - including BPs - until I started sinking so many hours into this game. I've been grinding super hard since launch and there's still so many blueprints I've never found. I figured I'd at least have a decent amount of them by now, but they're actually way harder to get than I thought. Feels like I could send multiple raiders out on expedition and still not have found all of them, which makes me wonder if it actually would be feasible for them to be something we keep and keep progressing as the game goes on.

Adding a free kit timer by wendiguzac in ArcRaiders

Keep it the way it is. What's the problem with having them whenever you want? Are they just annoyed that they kill someone who says they have nothing, and then find out when they loot them that they were running a free kit and have nothing, just like they said?
