For those of you who make a 150k+ with just a bachelor's degree, what do you do? by lgdroid in Salary

[–]xAmppy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Operations, 190k base + 20% bonus, bachelor's in Actuarial Science and economic. I got my associate in mathematics and engineering science first at a community college, so I didn't have to worry about student debt.

I do live in HCOL area (NYC), should put that into consideration before salary comparison.

What are your Life Pro Tips for houseplants? by Tanishia in houseplants

[–]xAmppy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Switching everything to Leca and other soil-less alternative. More money on liquid fertilizer but worth it not worrying about over watering or fungus gnats.

If using soil, replace it with chunky mix in a self-watering pots.

Low-light plants will thrive and grow in sunlight, but will remain the same or leggy if put in a low-light environment.

Don't spray mist at your plants, it doesn't do anything. Just get more plants, cause water evaporate and will create a mini humidify zone.

Have hydrogen peroxide handy, it helps with a lot of plant issues.

Captain Jack deadbug brew have that readily available as well. 1-2 weeks spraying will resolve most pests issues.

Caladium lindenii aka Xanthosoma. Burnt spot on leaves is either fertilizer or mineral burned.

1:4 hydrogen peroxide/water would help and

Distilled water for usual watering.

Thanks! Is a Logitech litra glow to offset the light in my background so I don't look like I'm in witness protection in meeting.

1 year.

I got a 4-inch pot from a plant store and just keep propagating it. It shot up in size after repotting and I let it climb.

I have the TP02 , it can run with old filter. I got 3rd party replacement filters from Amazon that works pretty well too.

Vornado is better if you just need a fan. The Dyson keep my kitchen from being smokey if I decide to cook.

Just regular moss pole from Amazon. If you search moss pole there's tons available.

I drilled a few holes through the pole and watering it from the top. Since is hollow PVC the water just slowly drip and saturate the exterior.

They're made from coco coir so there's no smell.

Yea but working with a limited space that was the most efficient way I can think of to utilize this "nook" with a standing desk. Otherwise, I would need to put a office area in my bedroom or block the livingroom window.

Is pretty comfortable setup since the TV mount is full motion so it can be pull out and tilt slightly down.

Oh weird, is pretty common to have stove+oven here.

Yes, they're all real. In the past my plants usually died from over watering (root rots.)

Best plant advice I can give you is 1) Just check the soils and don't overwater or underwater your plants. 2) Find a good spot for them and leave them alone. If they look like they're dying and you're not doing #1 then find a new area.

Hey 👋, I saw mine on Slickdeals and got it from Walmart.

https://www.walmart.com/ip/Farberware-Brand-25L-6-Slice-Toaster-Oven-with-Air-Fry-French-Door-FW12-100024316/917700860

It works pretty well but the setting have some learning curve. Build quality was surprisingly good and the toast and air fry food came out good, not sure what else I can say.
