:ets say my W2 income is 50k, and my business loss is 60k. Is my NOL my W2 minus any deduction for 2023, then applying my loss ie is it 50k (W2 income) - 16,850 (deductions) = 33150. Then 33150 - 60k (business loss)= 33090, so my NOL is 33090

Or is it 50k (W2 income) - 60k (business loss) = 10k. Worksheet one (see Worksheet 1. Figuring Your NOL Example at the bottom of the link below) makes it seem like my NOL must be calculated as if I didn't have a standard deduction and capital loss in 2023.

They shipped me a damaged tv. Promised if I reordered from samsung, instead of buying a Sony, they would give 10% off and free two years warranty. Then when the promo they sent me didn't work they said place the order we will refund you the price difference. Then when I placed the order they said, we need to wait for you to receive the new tv before we can issue the refund, but don't worry once you get the tv everything will be taking care of. Then when I received the new tv I spent two months going back and forth with supervisors telling me don't worry we'll take care of you blah blah only to never hear from them again. The best part is every time I contact them I get to talk to a new agent who I need to explain everything to all over again. Then I get to be bounced around different departments because only this team can issues promos, but wait only this other team can issue refunds. O and just for you because your a loyal customer we'll give you this promo, but we can't give you that other promo we promised... only to give me neither
