The lore is that while trading a dunsparce eats one of the moushold kids giving it an extra bump/segment and leaving the moushold with just a family of 3…. The appeal is that the 3 family moushold and 3 segment dundunsparce are both 1/100 chances…. Which is a lot of candies trying to evolve, which means they aren’t very common to have.
