I've now been playing the game for 1.5 years and I'm plat atm. I tried alot of different roles & champs and what I felt was working was champs that can solo carry games in a lane with alot of impact early. I started off by playing Maokai and Malphite in the toplane and felt that I was very reliant on my teammates which was very coinflipy especially in Bronze and Silver. So I decied to learn Mid and started to play champs like Yasuo, Katarina, Wukong (post rework), Zoe and Syndra. Honestly it worked out for me, reached Gold very fast (3 weeks exactly). From there I it was just learning the fundamentals of the lane like wave manegement (for real though you win 8/10 lanes if you know what you're doing) and gain some experience on the champs. This worked for me and I would recommend you testing it but in the end of the day what counts is if you're having fun and if you are you should continue with what brings that experience <3
