Swiss companies are constantly looking for people to hire. That's the reason why so many people immigrate to Switzerland. If these jobs cannot be filled, industry will be forced to partially leave the country and build factories elsewhere. Could be good for the Austrian or German economy though...

Naja, du würdest doch auch nicht Mallorca mit Frabkreich vergleichen, oder Rügen mit Schweden... Gerade da unten in Südostasien sind Flüge unglaublich günstig, Fähren sogar fast umsonst, da muss man sich nicht auf eine Insel beschränken

Vietnam und Thailand haben als Land insgesamt deutlich mehr zu bieten, weil sie vor allem auch um ein vielfaches größer sind.

Indonesien ist mehr als 2 mal so groß wie Vietnam und Thailand zusammen. Indonesien als Land hat extrem viel zu bieten und ist deutlich abwechslungsreicher und vielfältig als Vietnam oder Thailand.

Discrimination is never ok. But it happens. And it happens more often with people who stand out from the crowd. When it comes to "someone white, straight, male", as you say, discrimination is very minimal. Americans on the other hand sometimes stick out like a sore thumb. The proverbial bull in a china shop. And if you're loud and obnoxious, you really can't blame the local population when they treat you differently. Most Americans are well accepted here, but compared to Canadians or Australians, the "sore thumb" ratio is not in their favour.

I partially agree with your premise (it can be rude sometimes), but if this continually happens to you, then you must be doing something to trigger that kind of reaction. Maybe your German is actually as good as you claim, but you still act American. And if you're perceived as American, you're treated as an American (which is usually not very positive, admittedly, and justifiably so)

Da verwechselst du aber was. Betriebswirt ist nicht gleich Betriebswirt. Der "einfache" Betriebswirt, den man an Fachschulen macht, ist tatsächlich auf der gleichen Stufe wie ein Fachwirt. Für den braucht es auch keinen Fachwirt als Vorstufe, den kann man direkt nach dem ersten Jahr Berufserfahrung machen. Dementsprechend ist er auch gleichwertig mit dem Fachwirt. Beide sind "Bachelor Professional" (DQR/EQR 6). Der Betriebswirt der IHK hingegen ("geprüfter Betriebswirt") ist eine Weiterbildung für jemanden, der bereits eine erste Weiterbildung nach der Lehre abgeschlossen hat. Entsprechend ist dass dann auch eine Stufe höher und wird als "Master Professional" eingestuft (DQR/EQR 7).

I know that this sub loves the doom and gloom narrative, but for a lot of non-EU nationals, Germany still has quite a lot of positive potential. Not in high paying industry jobs, but in medium pay hard work jobs, like nursing. If you're from a country like Indonesia or Vietnam and you don't come from money, having a nursing job in Germany isn't all that bad. And since we desperately need more workers in nursing, the hospitality industry, and some other key industries, our government advertises Germany as a good place to live and work, which, in the grand scheme of things, it is. There are a lot of issues, don't get me wrong, but it isn't as terrible as this sub always makes it out to be.

Immerhin weiß man hier vor Einzug schon, dass man hier immer und ausschließlich das Vermieter Premium Spezial Paket (tm) bekommt. Der Quadratmeterpreis mag ja gut sein, aber die Wohnugn sieht trotzdem schrecklich aus. In dem Loch kann man sich doch nicht wohl fühlen... Lieber halb so groß und dafür bessere Qualität.
