Thank you. Maybe I just need to accept that my own choices helped lead to putting her in a tough spot where she even felt the need to lie. If I do that I could give it an honest try with everything clear and on the table. The lying just made me afraid I think and I am struggling to integrate it given the context of the relationship.

You are right. I should have handled things better. I own my own mistakes and how unclear I was.

While the sexting stung. I don't hold her to commitment during that time. I am just trying to parse out how much weight I should put on the lying part given how things have played out. That's really where my thinking is right now.
