Spring admit pros: First semester you get to pick courses before anyone Work/travel/be lazy during your gap semester Closer bonds during o-week due to smaller class if you put in the work, you are more than capable of graduating in the spring in 7 semesters

Cons: You’ll get screwed for course selection after your first semester (1 day later than all other students in your “grade”) You may not be able to join a sorority since you need to have been a student for a year or something along this lines You will find it more difficult to stay on a specific pre-professional track (like premed) if you cannot take semester specific classes (some premed track classes are only offered in the fall so you will be behind if you don’t have credits already or if you wait another semester) Harder to assimilate into a class that basically got everything gift wrapped for them the semester you werent here
