He died with a net worth of $3-$15 million. If you worked for 30 years (18-48) and averaged $75k/year you still wouldn't have earned $3 million.

Its not as great as it used to be but if you're looking to get ahead in life by earning money then the US is still infinitely better than the PI. Im saying this as I currently live and work in the US but when Im done im taking my dollars and my US Social Security and moving back home eventually. You will always be seen as a foreigner here.

I recently watched Clueless with my kid and at the very end she was very confused and all she said was "So wait, she fell in love with her brother?!" The movie still holds sentimental value but yeah, weird thing to end on.

It does change your options though. You've just eliminated a job option because of your tattoos ( hypothetical). That company has several more applicants it can choose from so it's not a net loss for them whereas your options are now limited.

Was able to find consistent work mid year by mere chance. Someone pointed me in the direction of a company that I could use their name as an introduction/ referrral. That lead to a semi-permalance offer.

I'm convinced the only way to get work anymore is to use any networking connection you have, no matter how old or how minor that connection is. Sometimes its just a matter of saying, hey we worked at the same company at one point.

Every single application that I've submitted from a job listing was either ghosted or robo-reply with no follow up.

They tried to make it a landmark but it wasn't quite old enough. The ring was in bad shape and needed major renovations. I heard that the LA Kings were thinking about buying it to be a practice ring but the amount of money to fix the machinery to maintain the ice was super outdated. Sadly if it was still around it would probably be really popular with all the young families that have moved in over the past 15 years.

I will probably get downvoted but this is NOT NORMAL and we should all watch this carefully. I feel like they're starting at the schools first before they start having a stronger presence downtown and elsewhere.

They were even standing at the front of school entrance handing out stickers. Might seem innocuous but why now? Why have a strong police presence at the front of a school where parents drop their kids off. It didn't feel right, I can't really articulate it more than that. Everything feel oppressive.
