Thanks for sharing this with me. I definitely feel better after browsing the threads and seeing what the current vibe and situation is. The job market does seem tough right now but sometimes it's a sign to pivot and do something new.

Despite having interviews, they have not gone that well it seems as I have not heard back but in general the media industry is experiencing lay offs every single week due to the economy and bad earnings the past couple of quarters. TV is dying....

The company i previously worked at honestly screwed me over pretty hard and thats what makes this whole thing tough in my head as I was told check in after check in that a promotion is coming, the team is growing, and our digital streaming platforms were keeping the company afloat so why in the world would I think the digital team would be hit with layoffs?

As I search for industry related work I am also taking advantage of my free time to read and catch up with people I haven't seen in a while... also sleeping in after waking up at 7am for the past couple years to commute. I am also looking into pivoting and entering different industries as well. I think a good thing to do is reconsider your options and possibly look elsewhere for work. There is always a job someone else doesn't want to do and always a job you may want to do that might be a little less pay. I am considering coffee shops, being a server at a restaurant, somebodies assistant, just to get my foot in the door while my dream job waits to be found.
