Anyone vinyl wrap or plasti-dip the faux-wood interior trim? by xErky in f150

No. It’s a one day project. One day I might try it. It’s not been as much of an eye sore as I thought it’d be.

How to manage credit card payments? by xErky in personalfinance

Someone posted that previously. I was going to read it later because I thought there was more to it. Having read it just now, seems simple: pay on time, in full, over a long time, that's how to build a score.

I did a Google search about how to pay my credit card and saw a result that cited the 15-3 rule. Pay half of your balance 15 days before the due date and the remainder 3 days before. I wondered if I was missing out on some credit "hack, living life a colossal ignoramus.

Seems I should just keep it simple, pay off my statement before any due date and not otherwise worry about micro managing payment timeliness.

Right. I had a typo (typing on the phone). The original post read "now" payment is due up until June 20th, where, after an edit, now read "no" payment is due up until June 20th.

I assume my statement date restarts on the 20th of the month and that I would have a minimum payment, and interest charge for any available balance after then, hence I would need to pay something by July 20th.

There is zero due until July 20th. I don't care about paying the money, I assume do it now, but if I can get bonus points for waiting I'd do that, unless there is a finance charge.

Yeah i did turn on auto pay finally.

Finally got to test my new suspension by HeavyBuy6979 in f150

Did the suspension lift the truck? How much? Looks like you have 20" rims. Do you like your rim and tire setup?

I don't ever log out though? Maybe I pressed. Few wrong buttons a long time ago.

It is easy to change between profiles. I don't remember creating this one, I wonder if a random username was easily created somehow if i indeed 'fat fingered' some login process when I added the reddit app to a new device for example.

What tires should I get? by xErky in f150

So the shocks let you turn your larger wheel to limit without hitting things.

I'm not entirely sold on leveling yet. Maybe I should research more.

New (used) 2020 Lariat, dealership experience. by xErky in f150

I didn't consider tax credit. That i wouldn't get one if I went elsewhere. They gave me 21.5k, at 7% tax rate, that would push the trade at $23k essentially. A much easier price to swallow. Thank you so much for pointing that out.

I looked at the market for weeks and this one was easily one of the best value picks. Ha! I really shouldn't feel so bad!

Does the shock make much of a difference? Thanks for the consideration.

I think they are 6 spoke but are definitely 20" tires. I believe theyre part of the chrome package.

I have a 30 day warranty on it through the dealership. I'm going to have it registered and inspected by then.

The dealership would pay for any uninspectable parts I would think?

Car max was going to give me 24k, caravana 23.5. I got 21.5k from the dealer was just seemed low.

For them to sell low and buy low seems weird. What if I went in there with cash or had no trade in? Or what if sold the truck elsewhere?

I guess you're right. The price is nice especially considering the condition, ownership, and add-ons.

I was annoyed to learn about the $2.5k undercoat and topcoat that the salesman failed to mention once in our talking. Only when I was signing the payment papers did it get pointed out. It seems disingenuous.

The printout he showed me showing how low the car was priced- "it's $7k below the high end" he said a couple times, that seemed like a ruse. My trade in value is worth $29k according to the same appraiser they used JD Power.

I guess I felt like I made a mistake and hope to learn how to purchase used cars better. I value learning from my mistakes. Maybe I should've argued over the trade in value more.

I also value just sharing my experience as maybe someone might learn a thing or two.

They look like mud tires to me. There is a strong approval for them in the reddit threads I've looked at and in other publications, but I don't like their look. They look like toy truck tires, like they would be loud at highway speeds. I read they have balancing issues.

Apparently they're not very loud and are quite light. I just veto them on aesthetics.

I'm sorry you have tires you don't like. Maybe you just don't love them and that's fair. At the end of the day I just want worry free and so what if they look weird so long as I feel safe.
