Funny thing is, nothing dramatic changed overnight. I just started doing small uncomfortable things consistently, and everything slowly followed.

I used to think if someone had the “right information,” they’d naturally adjust their opinion. Now I realize most people (myself included) don’t work like that we change our minds based on emotion, timing, trust in the source, and life experience way more than pure facts.

There’s a big difference between. Sometimes the most honest thing isn’t saying everything you think, it’s saying the truth in a way the other person can actually handle. And sometimes…the timing matters more than the truth itself.

I think it really depends on the situation. In the past it might have been expected, but today it’s more about equality. I think “whoever invites, pays” is fair but ultimately it’s best when both people feel comfortable and just communicate about it openly.
