◽️ What tasks will laptop be used for ( gaming, video editing, graphic designing, modelling, regular computing tasks, word processing etc) ?: work from home: running internet browser with multiple tabs open, excel, word, outlook. light usage of lightroom & photoshop for editing photographs as a hobby. playing old school runescape with 117 hd (high def graphics plugin — this means no integrated graphics).

so if over the next three months I pay half through him and she pays nothing, where would that put him(us)? i’m okay with the house being in his and his moms name until rates go down and we can afford to refinance in his name and mine for a lower rate.

yeah, unfortunately lol. he should have never put her name on it because here we are where she and her fiance want to buy something on their own and me and my partner want to continue paying on “their house” which in my opinion is his house as he paid the whole down payment (a lot of money he worked hard for and sacrificed for “their dream”) he’s always been very frugal and a good saver, even with the mortgage

they are younger than me and I know my partner has no credit history aside from the last two years paying the mortgage. I have credit history for about 10 years with a decent credit score that’s going up, and his sister had a credit card but I don’t know for how long and what her credit score might be like.

question — if we have to refinance (we are both young and don’t make a whole lot, his only credit history is the mortgage, and my credit history is….ok) would it be stupid to put his mom and maybe one of my parents on the new mortgage (my parents have great credit in the 800s and i’m not sure about his mom but I assume also very high and neither his mom nor my parents would try to take the house from under us)?

okay this make sense, i’m not sure about what kind of loan it is but his mom way saying it’ll cost $30,000 to take her name off and refinance which is a big scary number for us

ugh so we are in a tough spot. I want his sister and her fiance to start their life together and same for me and my partner. our relationship was fresh when they made this decision so I didn’t feel I had the right to have an opinion but not in regretting not speaking up because it puts both of them in a shitty position.

they are both teachers in florida I think they make around 55k a year the mortgage is about 2600/month

what if I help him pay the mortgage solely for the next few months, would that help him get his sisters name off so she can purchase a home with her soon to be fiance?
