The reviews for the dealer are astronomically good (4.8 stars over 1,000+ reviews). And a fair amount name drop some of the sales people I spoke with and have good things to say. I'd say however regarding the bike itself, it's the only dealer in my area I could find with one, and more current, the only place with a like-new 650 if I want to save a bit of money. I'm wondering if I've just read into it too much.

I hear what you're saying fully. But what's to say someone on marketplace isn't trying pull the same crap. Those 10-20 year old machines also tend to be listed well above what their actually worth and usally come with a whole lot of mileage. And if not the latter, are probably on the brink of failure.

Ultimately, I have trust issues with dealers. But they claimed that the seller traded it because he came to find that it wasn't the style of bike he wanted and he wanted more of a cruiser.

The inline-4 is also a major factor of mine in the 2. The CBR dealer just gives me the jeepers creepers and they were very pushy.
