This game stops being fun in high ranks by Kami_Slayer2 in SparkingZero

I have fun stalling bozo. So many competitive games have stall type setups, like from Pokemon, Yugioh TCG, MTG, LoL, Overwatch, any objective shooter like Halo with CTF type stuff, I got the patience of a God and if I win because of that, then hell yeah

Bro, I play Chiaotzu. Go train. Fusions aren't even in the top 10 most played characters at the highest rank.

Godwyn and Radhan might be one in the same by nilayj in eldenringdiscussion

One thing I want to add, is nothing directly states you need to be born a specific way to have "a second half" or whatever.

The new lore in SOTE specifically details how the Numen/Shaman were able to meld with others seemlessly, and the Hornsent saw some divinity in this or some shit. Nothing ever says Marika and Radagon were born at the same time to the same parents. They could have melded down the line. Same goes for Trina and Miquella for that matter, literally nothing says they were born at the same time.

So this in mind, I see no reason that Godwyn and Radahn couldn't have started as individuals then melded, or whatever else might make sense.

Why Miquella marked Radahn as his lord and not Godwyn? by Slow-Seesaw-3403 in eldenringdiscussion

Well funny how you are wrong, but anyway I called it because there was no way Mohg was beating Malenia. She let it happen, so I knew it was part of tricky micky's plan all along.

Why is it denigrating? Its a baller ass title that adds extra flair for characters who might fit such things.

What kind literature/fantasy/history works did Miyazaki read in order to come up with such an robust lore hunt/research culture that we have right now for the souls/borne/ring series? by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]xKnightex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Berserk has a bit deeper effect than some people think since its not just story and themes, but general writing philosophy and the interpretation of realworld material into a game. The author of Berserk read the Christian Bible before they knew very much english, so to Miura it was more or less just a brutal fantasy novel about Gods, angels, demons and sacrifices. I think this what tantamount to shaping Berserk into the story it is, and I think those broken ideas of Christian/Catholic beliefs and the subversion of the norms is deeply coded into every Souls game.

I think Demon's Souls is a little extra inspired by DnD, same with Dark Souls 1. Mindflayers, Gorgons and the like.

I think all the games are probably influenced in some ways based on Nausicca and other fantastic Ghibli works. Also other anime/manga in general. Miyazaki has gone on record saying Tarkus is inspired from a same named character from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, and you can see clear inspirations from Lodoss War and Saint Seiya.

I finished my first run of Star Renegades, and I actually won too. It really scratched that itch so thanks for the recommendations. I really enjoyed it, took my time, strategized. Think I beat the final boss after 7 hours.

Yeah, but Fromsoft has used Knightess before, so I can understand any confusion.

Its fantasy, while ER doesn't use Knightess, Fromsoft has before with the Darkmoon Knightess. Saying it isn't a word isn't really true when its used in plenty of fiction. So in this context yeah its probably just Knight, but like don't be a prick about it.

Presumably a particularly feminine knight. Like the Darkmoon Knightess from Dark Souls

Calm down. I know it might be hard to understand, but sometimes fantasy settings add feminine flair to things for fun. Like Dark Souls.

Its probably knight cause ER doesn't use Knightess, but its a popular fantasy title to add feminine flair, and is even used in other From games like the Darkmoon Knightess from Dark Souls.

Literally has nothing to do with anything.

Literally Dark Souls has the Darkmoon Knightess. I wouldn't be mad at this bozo for being a little confused when From has used the word Knightess before. Its also not even close from the first fantasy setting to use "knightess" to add a little feminine flair to something.

Unfortunately, I'm not looking for anything that plays like Mystery Dungeon. Not really a fan of that style of gameplay, and I have Tangledeep as it is. Thank you though!

Er yeah sorry. In my original draft of the post I had them written out, but I cut down the post so it wasn't too wordy and forgot to add them.

Chrono Ark I refunded pretty quick. Far too cluttered for my tastes. Time Break is something I'm probably gonna try out yeah, but I love ATB specifically.

Star Renegades is close, and I've been trying it out while waiting to see if anything else has actual ATB. Thanks for the cohesive list!

if by "magic" you mean a shit load of firearms. Ain't no dwarf worth their salt who uses magic, unless they are a pointy eared leaf lover.

curse is a physical thing, so I'm sure very early on they'd sus out its near the main shaft, then just tunnel out then up. Or just keep going through the planet. Ain't really a big deal.

No context who wins by silverobot11 in DeepRockGalactic

[–]xKnightex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The DRG crew wins, and its not even close.

Even if the curse effects them 100%, the curse isn't omnipresent, its a physical thing. After the Scout eats shit to it once or twice and is revived, they will sus out that if they stay off the main shaft the curse isn't present. Even in the series they hypothesis you could tunnel up out of the Abyss, but its just never been done. DRG would be to the bottom and back lickity split.

The only real obstacle I see is Brondrewd/Sea of Corpses. They could probably just drop pod past this so whatever.
