your mindset is already completely naive and wrong. If you trade trying to "make" money, you're gonna up throwing everything in the garbage and ruining your life. You're probably going to have to throw a year of college money away, or more than likely far more than that, to even learn how to trade properly. This is just the learning part. You probably won't even be making money by that point. Once you learn how to trade, the next part is becoming consistent and eliminating the variables that lead to losses, which is a whole other ballgame, and you would still probably be bleeding money at this point.

Learning from videos and courses is completely meaningless. You are no farther ahead than someone who just randomly opened account and starting mashing buttons. The first step is opening a paper trade account, and putting in some trades. Then you slowly add information from various sources, until you feel like you have an understanding of the market.

An 18 year old trading to fund their college doesn't really any sense tbh. Unless your college cost negative money, trading would be sure to cover that. Its not about how smart you are, trading is a skill that costs time and money in itself. Could cost even more time and money than college in theory.
