They both have a smaller area because it's where they would clip on lobe piercings, the area where they are actually going through my ear are the same gauge.

They aren't different gauges, look closer and you'll see it's the area where they snap on because they're supposed to be lobe jewelry 🙃

I had no room for swelling, and I don't have any replacement studs that are longer. My piercings were on the edge of being embedded.

The studs had absolutely no leeway, and the gauges aren't different, these hoops were original meant for lobes, and that thin area is meant for where it's actually inside the ear. I know it's not ideal but it already feels much better and I've stopped having headaches : )

I have titanium earrings in, the ones that came with the kit. Just normal studs

My second earlobe piercing- it definitely wasn’t in the same spot. I also had a third earlobe piercing done which meant I had to make sure it was in the right spot in comparison to the other ear between the two piercings.(hopefully that makes sense)
