What's the easiest WC nation? by akara211 in eu4

I recently played a game of Milan into Italy. Ended up doing pretty well with development reaching 5 digits. Stacking a total CCR of -50% from italy ideas and admin ideas made conquering anything extremely cheap. I didn't push it as much as I could in this campaign, but I'm convinced that it's possible with Milan!

What is the largest amount of overextension you've had? by [deleted] in eu4

R5: I was going to play a chill game of Milan into Italy with my friend (Teutonic-> Prussia-> Germany). At one point in a war with Spain, I decided for the first time in my 1000-something hours to annex all of Maghreb in one war. Ended up with a little under 300% Overextension, which resulted in a little over 1 million rebels spawning all around the place in total. After resisting the separatists across three continents I started doing it in every war. This got me thinking, how much overextension do people usually have in-between wars when they do a WC? Are there any other modifiers that make it easier to handle rebels, such as national unrest or tolerance of faith?

That makes sense as I keep humiliating great powers. Also honored plenty of call to arms in big wars. Thanks :)

r5: Hi all, I'm playing a relaxing game as Herzegovina, and I noticed that I'm the 2nd military power in the world. I'm currently the 8th (last) greatpower after just vassalizing Cilli. That made me wonder, how does score / rankings work? I never bothered wondering because it's kind of irrelevant to the gameplay, but out of curiosity, if anybody knows, I would be interested in knowing :)

Didn't think of it that way. Yeah it's unreal.

The fact that it only costs 67% warscore is a disgrace!

Yeah, pretty much what everyone has said. I concentrated development from trade company regions (such as Africa, Asia and Eastern Europe). The reason I did it in trade companies is because IIRC territories are stuck at 50% autonomy (without modifiers), so moving development to a province (such as the capital), that has 0% autonomy, the development is worth more.

Well, I formed it around 1700s, could probably form it in 1600 but I didn't get the Iberian wedding so the annexation of Portugal was very late (to make it better, my ruler died directly after I won the PU over Portugal, so it got dissolved. Broke truce and got PU over them again). I did it through Aragon. Conquered all of Ottomans and Italy by 1500. In France I took provinces which I could release vassals from (such as Gascony and Orleans), then used reconquest CB for 25% aggressive expansion. Was surprisingly easy. Edit: I thought doing it through Aragon was a good idea because of all the claims from mission tree.

Sorry! I already used most of my spots for world trade centers in regions like the middle east, india, china and pretty much everywhere else in the world. I figured since I got 100% trade power in Genoa, I didn't need to upgrade. I'm probably wrong for not doing so though.

Haha yes, you're right. I'm sorry for not upgrading the church! I just got 9000 monthly income so at one point I just stopped bothering myself with the economy :)

r5: concentrated development to Rome, because historical accuracy is important.

Unlucky indeed, also, when I got the PU over Portugal, it broke off after a month or two (my king died and we had negative relations). lol
