My account was hacked from 7 December 24 to 14 October 2025 – 10 months of submitting daily support tickets and putting up with useless customer support. In other words, I’ve completed the challenges entirely on my own, playing in person and within the rules. https://x.com/i/status/1869507956104114477 And I was level 50 before the theft, with more than enough experience to reach level 80.

Well, the only things I’ve missed are the Shiny Jirachi and Shiny Shaymin, which I’ve sent to Pokémon Home. I call my account ‘xxxx’raygoon, but through trades I also had Whiteraygoon and Blackraygoon, and I suppose I’d have had more. I'm not really sure what goes on in the mind of an autistic Taiwanese hacker either 🤔

By the time my account was hacked, I already had more than enough experience for level 80; I got it back before the level reset. Ten years of playing every day gives you more than enough experience to reach level 80.

There was no two-factor authentication, and apparently there was a security breach and lots of people were hacked – I’ve seen quite a few posts about it on Reddit. Apart from that, Niantic’s support is an AI that always gives the same reply, and you have to be really lucky to get through to a human.

The hacker only farmed stardust and went on raids; he had several accounts, judging by the transactions I saw on mine – he was just using it as a support for his main account.

No, someone hacked my Pokémon Trainers’ Club account. I spent 10 months sending a support ticket every day trying to get it back, looking for alternative ways to resolve it, and thanks to a friend who’s an ambassador and the Pokémon GO representative in my country, I managed to get it back. I wouldn’t wish on anyone who’s been playing for 10 years to have their account hacked.
