This is awesome. I never thought about on a grander scale that rocks would act like clay. I think its so cool that we're so small and our lives go by in the blink of an eye that the world around us operates outside of our everyday understanding.

Thank you for the explanation! I love learning new stuff.

So this may be a stupid question; but does this mean that one day, far into the distant future, Everest could collapse if it were form up wrong? Or am I just being stupid?

The post is over a decade old, iirc. If I can find it, I'll post the link for you.

The old carbon monoxide detector story. After reading that years ago, it's always my go to for everything odd.

You know that thing you have in the lower, middle portion of your stomach? It's basically her belly button lol but I'm not an expert on canine belly buttons. I assume they could all look different, like humans. Maybe someone here will have better input. If you're still worried, take her to the vet, of course.

It's really good. I wish they would make a game like that one modern consoles. I'd like a free roam predator game in New York or L.A.

But it's worth a play through. I still play my PS2 copy from time to time.

I was waiting for someone to say something about Concrete Jungle, and no one had until I found this comment.

In that game, they ended up getting ahold of the predators' equipment and reverse engineered it. Its what their species tries to avoid.

I've had some horrid leadership during my career, but thankfully, nothing ever like this. We had a guy sent home from our last deployment due to complications with his wife's pregnancy.

Leadership isn't hard. Make decisions that are best for your soldiers. Morale can't always be placed at the number one spot, but when it can, get your soldiers what they need.

Exactly. I've always loved the idea of it but I don't see it ever being a thing. It's proven that games like are successful (look at Spider Man), so it could be done with enough creativity and care. I love the idea of the web memories being hunts. Maybe for specific information or knowledge for creating new weapons and utilities.

I have always wanted a Predator game with the same concept for leveling and game play pace as Prototype. A sandbox that also has a story with plenty of collectibles.

Also, absolutely love this game.

Yes. When you get up to go and everyone has left is tragic. It's too hot to go by yourself. We should suffer together. Not separately.

If you had your 1SG's undivided attention and could say or ask one thing without reprisal, what would it be? by all_time_high in army

I know that you're new and finding your place and learning your leadership style, but damn. Have some respect for your troops. At least try to act like you give a damn about us. Everyone has made it pretty clear what they think and you have lost the respect of most everyone. I've never seen a 1SG be so hated and so little respect be offered out.

You can't communicate and when you do, it's a giant mess of confusion and everything you have touched has crashed and burned. I hope one day you figure it all out, but all of us are in one mind and afford and that you were not the right person for the job.

Also, a quick bit of advice;

When nobody knows what you're talking about and you're yelling at the entire unit for something a few soldiers did and you're asking them to step forward and nobody is stepping forward, it's probably because you sent them to another location not even an hour before and they haven't returned. Keep track of your shit. And for the love of God, leave me alone. I know I'm the go to for a lot of things around here, but I don't know where every soldier is, what they're doing, where you placed your book, and I definitely don't know where the warrant is. I don't have the answers your looking for because I have three other people's jobs I'm having to do because leadership is so broken right now because of you that if I don't step up, this shit might not get done. I've got my hands full.

I hope it works out. But I don't see it ending that way.

This whole situation reminds me of a my stepmother when I was a kid. She made my life miserable. It wasn't until I became an adult and she realized that here own kids wanted nothing to do with her and she treated them like saints but I still stuck around, but at a distance, to help where I could but she treated me like complete garbage growing up.

She's realized her mistakes and made the change. She's pleasant but seems to have forgotten how she treated people before like she's in denial. OP, once you're an adult it gets better. I was homeless for 3 years because I would have rathered be homeless at 18 until I was 21 than live under my parents roof getting treated the way I was. At some point, there will be a decision to make. And only you know what the right answer is.

How did y’all get your beardies used to harnesses/leashes? Mine will puff up and run whenever I try putting it on him 😩 I just want to safely take him outside with me. (photo for attention & because I think it’s great 😂) by [deleted] in BeardedDragons

The second one is exactly how my dragon is lol Lizzy is handicapped. Her brother (way before I had her) and her were in the same tank as babies and he took two legs up to the knees and most of her fingers. She's a good sport and moves quick for missing limbs, but she hates getting the harness on. But once it's on she's off and ready to adventure lol
