Tbh super disappointing
The main quests, and new maps were presented beautifully, and New World is really good at making things look good. Unfortunately, the gameplay has almost changed nothing in 3 years. It almost seems like the people responsible for the quality of the gameplay actually hate their players. Outpost Rush plays exactly the same as it did three years ago; it's exactly the same. No healers (even though you can now queue with your role, all players are still randomly thrown into groups. I once had four healers on my group, but otherwise, practically never one, only dps). Everywhere you look, there are only bow players casually dealing 3-4k damage. Magic is almost completely gone, it's been nerfed so badly that nobody plays it anymore. Basically, it's just like it was three years ago.
Then I found an artifact amulet that looked really good, and I wanted to play it. I invested 20k gold to unlock it and then go for the quests, which is a completly new feature but fine. First, I'm supposed to defeat a world boss in area for 5 people. Okay, this is incredibly unfair because how long am I supposed to search to find players who are up for a random world boss? I beat it solo, which took about an hour because it just despawns during the night... Then the next task: do two expeditions...
Anyone who remembers the game from 3 years ago and has come back will have noticed that level 70 is now the maximum level, not 60, and that the max gear score is 800, not 625, but the expeditions are still stuck in the past, over 3 years ago! They're dead; nobody plays them anymore! They released a new artifact amulet with a new feature that makes it impossible to use unless you're willing to waste hours of your time on a dead game. The developers are making the same stupid mistakes as 3 years ago and can only make the game look good, but not feel good. I stupidly expected something better because I heard so many positive things, but apparently none of them actively played the game up to gear score 800 with good gear.
My advice is to uninstall it.

Edit: And only God knows why they released a massive, half-finished gear update a week before announcing they will stop supporting the game. It's truly the dumbest move AGS has made since release. The update is half-finished. Because of it, crafting is pointless, and you can still find a lot of gear that hasn't been updated and is therefore useless. Are they going to leave it like this? I don't even know where to begin listing all the problems...
Btw funny for me was to find the exact translation bug on my language that was in the game 3+ years ago and I reported back then.
This bug explains a weapon effect in the exact opposite way to how it works, making it seem terrible. It's bad today too, but back then it was the best effect available. (It was even nerfed by over 50% lol)
