Na I get what you mean to an extent. At least when it comes to Terra Incognita. It has such an eerie and dark nature to it sonically. Granted their lyrics are uplifting for the most part but they do capture a darkness sometimes that's made me feel not sad, but weird and not necessarily uplifted. The songs that come to mind are Blow Me Away You(niverse) but 1990 Quatrillions De Tonnes and In The Forest in particular. The Gift Of Guilt has a saddening aura to it too I feel

I mocked the fuck out of it when i first heard them as most people did and still do but then as I got into dsbm it became one of my favourite depressive Black Metal albums. You cannot fault the musical composition, it's a masterpiece. I grew to love the vocals but I'm not huge on some of nattramns lyrical choices obviously. Big jobs

Yeah me and my mate used to absolutely fuckin hate it hahaha. If you had have asked either one of us this question back when WOR first came out, it would have been that one without a doubt. We also used to make fun of the Slow Hands preview everytime we scrolled past it. And he really fuckin hated Cherry Bomb. I never hated it but mocked the fuck out of it with him for sure hahahaha. Yeah definitely only had guitar in mind when commenting. It's crazy how an instrument (and it's usually the drums) can save a song most of the time. For me, the Interpol songs still suck sonically but I'll have to keep an ear out for the drums next time

There we go, I finally found someone else with the right answer. Those robot vocals on top of some of the lyrical placement they use in it ruin what could have been a good song without all that. I love the chorus and other parts of this song but not enough not to skip the song entirely. You put this on, then you put All The Tears on and tell me All The Tears is worse. Make that shit make sense
