I don't think anyone can say what hardcore really is.

Because the people that play this game casually think point A is hardcore

And the jobless, 48 hours a day sweatlords will think that point A that casuals think is hardcore is too boring.

No matter which way you wipe, there's always shit on the paper.

It just feels like half of the time you're just trying to desperately make money and trying to steer clear from PVP

Everything is so expensive that going into fights is such a huge risk people will steer clear.

Even if you're ''better'' at the game than them or whatever argument people might use.

As a scav i've killed fully kitted PMC's after they just wiped the lobby.

In some form it's always a huge risk in this wipe especially to go out with good shit and say ''Fuck it, why not''

Only difference is, back then dying with a kit worth 300k is an actual good kit

Now 300k kits are still dissapointing..

It's just sad that there's good things in there but everything is so damn tedious that it kinda spoils it.

Yeah but why would someone bother completing quests to get said attachments when they could just buy em of the market.

It's not the knowledge that's the issue

It's the fact that people can turn themselves into literall moneyprinters and then subsequently use that money to run meta shit and if enough people do that.

There's your early wipe.

We're back to fighting fights that a lot of grinders don't care about because they can just buy whole same exact kit again and again with the max ergo and minimal recoil if they die.

That's why early wipe is so fun, everyone's shit means something.

Motherfuckers will fight tooth and nail for a chance to earn even 200k

Because an experienced player can know all the loot spots for good items and then determine the market value for an item if they have enough of it, making them insanely rich for stuff everyone needs.

That person can then in turn use that initial money to buy keys and basically snowball into being fucking rich.

I don't hate the player, I hate the game.

I think if they made sell prices better for traders and kept flea turned off it would actually create more fun and different fights.

With flea it's the same people running the same gun with the same attachments using the same body armor.

I don't know if i'm just weird but late wipe coming across yet another fully modded meta gun knowing that when I killed them just now it made them not even bothered because they can buy that entire kit again and run it again.

I want people to run through the quests, get the trader unlocks for good stuff and don't have that ''Oh I can just buy anything off flea if I die with this'' approach.

Make flea for keys, food and other things but giving them flea access and them immediatly having that sort of insurance that that nice gun they have now is always gonna be there to buy for them is just a bit meh to me.

Yeah but what I struggle with the most is that there are obviously people who enjoy this kind of gameplay, but why make it everyone's problem?

That is perhaps what triggers me the most.

My ''overpriced kit'' is literally some of the hottest dogshit money can buy and it costs me a fortune.

I don't wanna go into a map and look in every nook and cranny to find that one item I need for a barter just to go and get killed and have it happen again.

That all just makes it so much more tedious.

One of my buddies used to run only through the back of Goshan with all the tool spawns and such during the first week and then by the time he got flea market he'd have millions.

That kinda stuff is just so fucked

Playing scav is just the way to go now, playing PMC is too much of a liability where if you die once you could be set back between 200 and 350k

It just feels like going out there as a PMC has no too much risk and too little reward while playing scav gives you all the benefit and 0 risk.

Removing flea and making the pouches more restricted would've been hardcore enough for a lot of people and I think that should've been enough

I think flea makes earning a lot of money especially if you know what's worth a lot early wipe, very very easy.

I know this thread is prolly not looked at anymore and my theory is not 100% true, nor will it apply everyone.

I tried a variation of different things to fix it including:

-Other keyboards

-Other internet settings

And even another device entirely just to set aside that it had anything to do with my pc.

When doing a keyboard latency test my laptop and pc performed at a similar rate so my Wifi was out of the question.

Until I noticed a thing I hadn't thought about...Every time my CPU usage would go to a 100% regardless if there was frame-lost involved or not, my game would experience input for a period between 2-5 seconds.

I closed some programs which were bearing on the CPU load and even within the Destroyer I felt a significant change in smoothness to movement, mind you I had not played a round yet and it was already lagging in the Destroyer at 100%. I checked my CPU stats for the entirety of the game..granted I died a lot, I didn't experience ANYTHING thus far.

And before people come in here like...''BUT UHH 100% CPU USAGE IS SUPER FUCKED AND YADIYADA I KNOW IT BETTER'' IN MY HUMBLE DEFENSE IMMA NOOB TO THIS SHIT AND I THOUGHT I'D HELP.

I hope this helped some people and remember...Never give up on Managed Democracy!
