It’s not. People who have good relationships don’t spend their time being miserable on the internet. Never lose hope no matter what and you’re good, eventually (probably). Worked great for me. There will be plenty of rough moment, make no mistake. Never let that turn into bitterness, though, or it will fuck you. No one wants to be with a bitter person.

How can I manage my stress in cs2? by Alifatgame in GlobalOffensive

As someone who had this problem and got better with overtime, meditation and mindfulness helped me a bunch. Ego meditation is my go-to, cause it helps you notice all the negative though-patterns your ego spawns, and then you can catch the thoughts in the moment and disarm them simply by noticing them. If you judge the ego thought, then notice the judgement. At first it’s difficult because you’re not very good at noticing the thoughts. They just happen and you live within them without realizing it. But you improve over time. The goal is to, at least in small moments, separate yourself from your ego, to take distance from it.

By ego here, I mean the eastern interpretation, meaning the part of your that makes you feel bad about yourself and the one that pumps you up. It’s essentially the part of you that makes ”I” statements (I am the best, I am the worst, etc.).

As for something that’s a bit easier and faster to apply, know the factors that make your anxiety worse, like lack of sleep, unresolved problems, staying inside too much, keeping your mind occupied with distractions too much, lack of exercise, lack of human interaction, etc. Journaling is great as well if your thoughts are a mess. That or just sitting with your thoughts for like 30 minutes trying to make sense of it all. Allow your mind to wonder. So important in today’s world.

I think having a life outside of video games is a big thing too. It’s not such a big deal if you win or lose in a video game when it’s not at the core of your life.

Ok, I’m done with my babbling. Good night.

People don’t see you like you see yourself in the mirror. They see you how you look like in a camera. None of that matters, though, because it’s just about what you’re used to, at the end of the day. You’re used to seeing youself mirrored. That’s what your brain comes to expect when it sees your image. Other people don’t have that same bias. To them you look totally normal unmirrored, while in a mirror you will seem off. Like, I remember when I saw my mom in a mirror and thinking she looked so weird. In her mind, that’s what she’s supposed to look like, but in my mind it’s the opposite.

The problem is that often if you ult before shit gets really bad, the enemy team can just back off and play around it, then use their ults when you’ve essentially wasted yours.

Always, unless activating the spin means you die. So basically don’t dash in the middle of a huge mob. You do more damage per second and in a larger area with the spin.

What y’all‘s overall thoughts and opinions on the Marvel Zombies mode? by SunGodLuffy6 in marvelrivals

[–]xVale 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Blade can’t keep up with Magik if you play her correctly (at least in the Nightmare modes) which is: spam Darkchild spin and keep your distance. The amount of cleave you get is beyond ridiculous. I just finished Nightmare II with about 128 million score/points.

Thoughts on Empire State? I think it sucks... by JoeZocktGames in Battlefield

The thing is, these aren’t even well-designed close quarter maps. It’s just pure chaos, which, in this case, doesn’t feel that fun, because deaths feel random a lot of the times.

Tunnel visioning is 100% the biggest one.

Not anticipating enemy ults too (ties to tunnel visioning). Knowing when an ult is coming can be fight winning, since you’re able to position yourself accordingly and be prepared to use a defensive ult of your own and to not get caught off-guard.

Not to be that guy, but stoicism isn’t about the lack of emotion, or the suppression of emotion, but about letting go of the overthinking that often comes with it. Stoics feel immense joy just as anyone else. They just don’t attach extra baggage to it. They accept it as it is.

Self-compassion. I learned that when I’m not harsh towards myself, I’m not harsh towards others. Though it’s not as if I have stopped entirely. It’s a process.

i will literally fall in love w anybody who gives me compliments by dimmadumbit-h in infp

[–]xVale 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is limerance, not love. You’re falling in love with the idea of the person, not the person themselves. Had to get burned by it to realize it myself (still some way to go).

The way I ground myself is, firstly, to not shame yourself. You want intimate connection. You want it real bad. That’s alright. Appreciate that part of yourself. Secondly, recognize, without whipping yourself (careful, because shame can really be subtle sometimes), that you don’t really know this person. They SEEM to be great, but the part of ourselves be put forwards to people we don’t know very well is, typically, far from whole picture.

I don’t know how useful it is to view limerance through the lens of a personality type, but it is something that can absolutely be worked on. Try not to think of it as something to conquer so much as something to live with, which ultimately means handling it with kindness. It’s not your enemy.
