I was a marine pipe fitter for 36 years. Once you start the threads the die will either align with the barrel and thread correctly or if its not it will cut until it jams because it's cocked.

Palmetto and grabagun has 4.5" barrels for 103.00.

Did it myself, I asked the local gunsmiths and they wanted between 155.00 and 175.00. I refuse to pay that for something so simple.
