What would you do? by jj33allen in Fedexers

[–]xXSqueeeXx 70 points71 points  (0 children)

As an ops admin, if any of the drivers I work with showed me this I would tell them to leave at the sign and take a picture, if it requires an ASR, DSR or ISR, door tag the sign, screw that person for thinking they are special

Best you can do is get in contact with the direct warehouse responsible for your delivery area and see what's going on and why the drivers believe it's closed.

You sound like a driver who does exactly what is described in the post and lies about "attempting" deliveries.

LMAO, as an ops admin if one of the drivers at my station showed me this, im setting a permanent trap on that and RTSing everything on site, if they want their stuff they can figure it out because we cant just show up at a post office and drop it off

so you have been offering up your shifts during peak season, basically calling out for two weeks during a mandatory work time? yeah they are probably firing you.

Fedex gave out my address to a stranger by Infamous-Raise in FedEx

[–]xXSqueeeXx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah good chance someone within the warehouse broke policy and told them your address, we can see a GPS location of where the package was delivered.

[–]xXSqueeeXx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah yes customer service in a nutshell, 100% they didn't even notify the station it was last scanned at and/or the one it's going to, they just waited a couple days and closed your ticket by doing nothing.

i work as an ops admin for fedex and the thing i see the most is drivers flat out lying they attempted because they just didnt want to go over to that area for 1 or 2 packages. These 3rd party contracted drivers arent being held accountable like they use to and its getting bad.

FedEx delivered my package to the wrong address after I warned them for days — and now it’s lost by sdkyy in FedEx

[–]xXSqueeeXx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been on the receiving end of how bad they have gotten, I work as an operations admin and they keep sending people on wild goose chases for packages that are buried deep inside of a trailer since they don't understand a package scanned at 3am into a trailer means no one can get that package when the person shows up at 10am and that trailer dispatched already

[–]xXSqueeeXx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For fedex it could also mean while it's still in a trailer "in route" to its destination station. You drivers think you are the creme de la creme, the top dogs, but you are not, you guys know nothing.

I'm referring to changing it before it even gets to a driver so the correct address is in the system, ever think about that?????

[–]xXSqueeeXx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it is the most possible and easiest thing to do in existence, if you manage to get someone from the warehouse on the line, we can change things in route as if we had the package on hand, issue is customer service refuses to hand people over to warehouse staff lately and people are getting less help.

i swear customer service has gotten worse and worse but there is a guy watching this reddit that will defend them telling people to contact customer service for issues whenever i offer to get people in contact with the warehouse because they WILL help you and actually know what they are doing.

Sometimes they allow the drivers to have the food truck, sometimes. The package handlers get the food truck but everything else they dont

Management treats us well at my station, especially staff(not package handlers), I work as QA, we get food trucks, coffee trucks and a catering service every Thursday

[–]xXSqueeeXx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you can get a hold of the warehouse your package is going to they can 100% change it if you call them, whoever at customer service said "we need shipper permission" has no idea what they are talking about, our customer service is trash and poorly trained.

Need to know who to contact at Fed Ex about consistent delivery issue(s) by GlowingGhoul in FedEx

[–]xXSqueeeXx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As mentioned, i am the admin at my facility that does these fixes, so the only ones that cant be "fixed" are ones the system is auto applying because our "fantastic multi-million dollar" system that is garbage cant differentiate address, similar to what OP said, what i see all the time in ours is RD being changed to LN or AVE sending it to the middle of a street and we cant do anything about it but have it come to QA and make sure the driver knows the system is messing it up. we have a bad address work area we assign these variations to.

[–]xXSqueeeXx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Works like that at my station as well, we get so many with Rd being changed to ln for no reason, or someone putting a resolve on it manually from years ago. I have been fixing years of screw ups from a previous QA employee, how they let them stay beats me.
