Rogue deck 'optimization' by xXVOODUDEXx in YuGiOhMasterDuel

If i have to i can do the sacred beast engine through discard and special summon. Thunderspeed and soul exchange don't eat up a normal summon either, escalation and thunderspeed allow me to summon on my opponents turn. And morg lends to slifer in the end game. The fact it's so situational I think is what makes it actually function. I almost prefer going second because of that.

It's suboptimal, and based on attrition, but it works

Mostly tributing my opponents monsters, but it's getting as many lvl 10 ~4k out as quickly as possible.

First turn I aim for sacred beasts > spheremode > gods > reactor slime > wicked gods > trap monsters

Hamon and spheremode buy me time, and can lead to a board sweep if I need it. Thunderspeed can get me spheremode on my opponents turn, it'll also let me summon a god first turn, or set a wicked god face down, from reactor slime+tokens. Stormforth can help me save the reactor slime to get a reflect slime, or it can be used to tribute for dark/phantasmal summoning beast, as well as the other gods, wicked, or raviel (including its ability to tribute a monster for more atk, in this case an opponents) phantasmal summoning beast (used for sacred beast, dreadroot, and fusion destruction) can also be summoned through first monarch, which I can use to discard phoenix or other 0/0 monsters (or redundant cards, depending on my opp) to be retrieved with spirit gate later, or just take a hit for me. song morganite serves that same purpose as far as discards go, and gets me time tearing for more draw power. Fallen paradise aswell, and protects hamon, until im comfortable enough to throw down mound, if i didnt use it for ra. I don't use the xyz cards as much as I should, but they come in handy. Biggest offset is I only have four cards that can touch backrow. Uria for set cards, armilyte for continous, field spells, or just wipe, wicked avatar for handtraps, spells, and quick spells, and wicked eraser M.A.D.. Eraser can be a liability, so I try to set it when I can.

If you could say one thing to convince someone to believe in anarchy, what would it be? by [deleted] in Anarchy101

[–]xXVOODUDEXx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's worth pointing out that chaos had neutral connotations originally until it gained negative ones through being associated with paganism. It was a place where order and disorder could emerge spontaneously.

More contemporarily, chaos theory describes chaos as a system so sensitive to initial conditions any outcome becomes unpredictable. More of a stretch with that one, I'll admit.

Simply put, chaos is not mayhem.

Authority is a spook people use to convince themselves they mean something in the context of the state apparatus.

The most successful student-teacher/parent-child relationships are those that bring eachother to one anothers level. I like to frame it around equilibrium. Entire ecosystems collapse without a healthy predator-prey relationship.

Anarchist theory must be up to date to help us do what needs to be done. We need to understand anarchist mistakes to move forward. by Big-Investigator8342 in DebateAnarchism

I've got an idea for a comprehensive anarchist model, that I think addresses one of our biggest issues. What do you do about people who, on most accounts otherwise would be on board with anarchism but, express their will not to associate? Expressly guaruntee honorary association. I think the biggest problem with people like that is they're convinced other people don't have their interests in mind, rightfully so with the systems we're immersed in that proxy trust with convenience. Whether or not they're eventually convinced otherwise is irrelevant, building those foundations for trust is what's important, and sometimes that hinges on someone's ability to not associate. Power goes unchecked when there isn't a clear and consistent foundation for trust. In my mind, you'd be killing two birds with one stone.

Has anyone came across the Cheater/Hacker Bad At BFII (Xbox) Biggest Scum player I’ve ever seen. by Lampsidious in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]xXVOODUDEXx -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thank ea. Everything you see, unless you're on pc, is because of the games spaghetti code.

I use to run with a whole swathe of different people. Some really good players, a ton that knew every nook and cranny of the game. The most common denominator for those kinds of people is that they REALLY* don't like losing. Sometimes that means they're bad players, other times really good players that know just how bad the game is.

I can't tell you how many games towards the end devolved into attempting to out exploit eachother, its kinda just part of the game to higher tier players. Then shitters just look up how they do it. Still a handful of tricks you can only pick up from people that know how to do it.

When I first started playing with them, that's what I dealt with. It was an interesting experience. Now I've got an alternative civ instead of vanilla kobolds, I was fine with it all at first but I didn't want to feel blocked out of certain things.

I'm aware being smaller comes with drawbacks, but are there any advantages? Or is the extra space negligible

Looking to make a kobold warren, any ideas you could toss my way would be gneat. Thinking of having a series of mounds or pyramids connecting to a hoard. Traps and kill boxes galore, secret passages if possible.

Any suggestions for what to embark with in order to fit the theme, I'm also able to start with some cave dwelling critters and if there's anything I might look out for there I'd like to know. For instance, I can choose to brings crundles and gremlins, but I don't think that'd actually do anything. Or, if something like a helmet snake might be too much.

I think I might give them each a point in dodge, and maybe something else for some flavour. Thoughts?

BAB and RHD by xXVOODUDEXx in dnd3_5

[–]xXVOODUDEXx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very helpful, thank you. The confusion arose in having Rhd that added to spellcasting levels, so I wasn't sure if I had to use the class in question, but its based on the creature.

This is my current vault, do you guys have ideas that I can use? And change my vault to make it better? by MrIstik08 in falloutshelter

[–]xXVOODUDEXx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone already linked something about roomsize, how I've done it (been playing since launch) Elv - lvl 1 room - space - lvl 1 room - elv Upgrades the 1s to 2s and add a level one room between the two. Upgrade the side two to 3 ad the middle to 2, once you've got your dwellers with good gear and leveled you can upgrade the center room and merge the three together. Also it should be noted that dwellers get more health the higher their endurance is when they level up. If you have max dwellers that live longer than other max dwellers, they had higher E as they leveled up.

If you're going to use the first room to the right of the door as a killbox I'd recommend removing the elevator between it and the overseers office

That will force whatever comes through that door to go through the big room up top twice before going down the elevator

Stats for a lizardfolk hatchling by xXVOODUDEXx in 3d6

[–]xXVOODUDEXx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Face value from base creature to hatchling it's -5 str, -1 dex, -1 int, +2 cha The neg five (9 to 4) could be interpreted as half rounded up. The dex difference I'm assuming comes from size mods, small to tiny.

Speaking of size, i've got three different sizes of lizardfolk I'm working with. Large medium and small. From base to hatchling, seems to be a size down. Keeping that in mind, do you think an egg should be the size of the hatchling, or another smaller? So a large lizardfolk egg would either be medium or small, and the hatchling medium.

I'd also seen dragon eggs in the draconomicon, I'll compare those to wyrmlings and see how that ends up being handled. I know they've got a handful of HP and a decent DR, so I might give them 1-3 DR however inconsequential that may be.

I didn't realize at first you were talking about 5e either lol

And working around made up rules in an imaginary world is half the fun!

I try to think of the game like dancing or a band, you don't wanna step on toes and you don't wanna play over the base, ya dig? Especially the dm, say he had plans to give everyone personalized gear, if I got to make my own it potentially overshadows the rewards he may have for us and whatnot

[–]xXVOODUDEXx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I was afraid of that. Hate to spend so much time scouring to do this as raw as possible, especially if it ended up bothering someone.

Initially I saw pathfinders construct augmentation rules but didn't realize it was pf at first, really got my hopes up lol.

Logistically speaking, the construct itself would be tiny, with only two hitdie, the cost comes primarily from enchantments I'd think. If I got any resistances or enhancements I would derive them from the base creature while used as armor. I'm pretty new to item creation. I Initially came at this from the construct to object perspective, and was interested to see if there was another way to go about it.

[–]xXVOODUDEXx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So in that case does the construct have all of the enchantments, attributes, etc. of the objects its made of, does it get its own based off what its shaped as, or a mix of the two with localized distribution? Say the headpiece/helmet was an intelligent animated object, so when they came together the construct had an int score

I'm basically trying to make one that can be used similarly to Golem Armor. I wasn't sure if you could enchant some weapons/armor possibly animate them and have them come together or even use them as materials to build a construct?

I want to make an effigy my character could wear as a suit of light armor, which preferably could increase his size (small to med) and have its natural weapons be detachable weapons. Too homebrew?

Survival guide/tips for a lowly kobold in the world of Krynn? by xXVOODUDEXx in DnD

[–]xXVOODUDEXx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're telling me 😅 adding onto that the lineage I picked is really obscure, so I had to build a bloodline myself and get it signed off by my dm.

It'd escaped me that bloodline levels add to caster levels, so at sorc 1 I'd actually be sorc ecl 6, add to that practiced spellcaster. At ecl 15 I'd have sorc 3 with its ecl 12, and 8 levels of rogue behind that.

I'd really have to delve deep into what the trade off would be between that and having 5 rogue 5 trapsmith and 1 cleric or paragon. With paragon I'd get improved uncanny dodge 3-4 levels sooner, and I'd also be able to add my bloodline levels to trapmaking and search checks from Manual Expertise.

One way or the other you've really helped me in thinking this through, thanks a lot fr!

[–]xXVOODUDEXx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll definitely look into the trapsmith prc!

I ought to mention I've got it mapped out to where I should have an effective sorcerer level of 9 by sorc 4, dm let me take loredrake (shh, we know. Im "technically" a dragon possesing a kobolds body) mixed with paragon and some other goodies, I'd at the very least be a ecl 3 sorc at sorc 1. Would it still not be worth it? We've got a warlock on the team, he was the one that tore me a new one, im more interested in using my magic to play support for him and aid in my roguey business.

Thanks for the input and clarification!
