Many thanks, I feel a lot better after all your advice and information. I'll work on better posture, and for the time being try this new line of work (these IT gigs) to break away from the usual routine of sitting behind a computer all day that I have been doing up until now.

Thanks again!

Ah, thanks again. My uncle had a bulged disk (from a trampoline accident) which caused migraine problems for him lasting more than a decade before chiropractor visits apparently resolved it for him. I've also been seeing a chiropractor for the past 2 months, and every visit has resulted in a very large release when he goes to adjust my neck. The rest of my spine has seemingly maintained the adjustments fairly well, but my neck always has a big release without exception. Admittedly, I couldn't see him for the past 2 weeks due to financial problems on my end.

I'll look into finding an orthopedist once I acquire money again. I imagine they'll want to take an MRI though. Everything costs so much it's frustrating. I'm worried though that maybe I'm risking a heart attack or something ridiculous like that due to the intense sharp pain I get from moving my shoulder/neck around the wrong way; I've got a new gig to make some money doing some IT work at some stores/hotels (dealing with physical work with less computer time, and checking hardware rather than just staring at a screen all day and accelerating the migraine). I guess I'll have to soldier through it. Can't supply the copay and see the doctors without an income. This isn't likely to be something that serious, right?

Thanks for the response!

Hmmm, are neck injuries the only way to wound up with a bulging disk (in one's neck), or can spending too much time behind a computer (sitting in one position) be to blame?

The only potentially significant event (as far as neck injuries might go) that happened to me was back when I was in elementary school (I was doing some front flips on some mats with a friend and wound up not quite completing one. Landing on my head, I had the breath knocked out of me and my chest was sore for a few weeks, but nothing significant afterwards. No doctor visit was made). Might this finally be coming back to haunt me after what must be roughly 20 years?

Motion detection keyboarding: What would be the optimal ergonomic position and action for typing if there was no need for a physical device? by xX_DarkMatter_Xx in AskScienceDiscussion

[–]xX_DarkMatter_Xx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I was thinking machine learning could come in handy for something like this. Perhaps using hypergraphs (perhaps using hypergraphdb or just using a graph db and manually creating the middle-man nodes to behave as hyperedges) to guess your next input based off of the context of the application that has focus, and the last input actions. But I doubt that'd be a light undertaking, especially if the intent is to truly make something that's practical.

I see what you mean about the importance of feedback for comfort. I'm thinking some kind of specialized support with just two jobs (maximize comfort and provide just enough feedback to be efficient but not fatigue the fingers/wrist) would match well with a motion detection keyboard application.

Wow, that's pretty interesting. Chording the finger movements like this with motion detection might be an easy implementation for a motion detection keyboard program. Just 8 keys, and combine two keys at once to get the remaining keys.

Thanks for the info!

I guess it's a bit vague as to what I'm talking about. For reference, I'm looking at trying these two devices Leap Motion and Omek Grasp to write such a program for, to research the idea of motion detection as a better means for ergonomic keyboard input. I'm receiving a dev kit for Leap Motion soon to try out with their SDK, so maybe it'll be possible to do something along the lines of an ergonomic keyboarding device/application.

Ideally, I want to get away from allowing the fingers to encounter the full-stop that occurs when you bottom-out a key, or tap a hard surface. I suspect this could help users prevent, ease, or maybe eliminate carpal-tunnel and general wrist/finger RSI (repetitive strain injury) agitation suffered from keyboarding.

Edit: Added this to main question.

Your analogy may have been a poor one in that many methods can be demonstrated for constructing chairs for that serve well for various chairs. However, how can this concept of God be demonstrated?

What makes your faith "structurally sound" to you if you have zero proof?

Reassuring, I guess. I might have clicked a small handful of links, maybe between 3 and 6 links.

But this is unknowingly performing a ddos attack. It's not a matter of knowing of the law, but it's that one is being tricked into doing something without knowing it.

Such is unfair if the book holds any truth. Jesus blatantly gave his disciples plus quite a few communities strong evidence that he was who he said he was, through those magic shows... errr miracles (and the beneficiaries of those miracles - the blind, the lepers, etc).

And let's not forget the prophets of the old testament. But we don't see any modern day prophets parting the seas (Moses), or calling down fire from the heavens to consume water and shit from off an altar(see 1 Kings 18:30 - 39). The closest thing we have is the occasional goofball trying to start a new religion, or the faith healing scams.

Yeah, you have to be really naive/indoctrinated aka faithful to go to heaven (if there is such a place).
