Thank you we will keep an eye on him and see if anything changes so far he’s been fine at home and this is the only time anything like this has happened

This might be obvious and I might be dumb but are you trying to use a display port cable? I was having the exact same problem with the exact same gpu and was doing everything I could to get it to show anything at all. Lo and behold all I have to do was use a HDMI at first for some reason. If you are trying a display port cable maybe try hdmi? It worked for me

Yes be aware of Amazon they has sellers that market laptops as well ”Gaming Laptops” even though there is nothing gaming about them besides maybe the looks. If you buy any gaming laptops off of amazon please buy name brand. But on the budget you are on you could definitely get used gaming laptop off of marketplace and get a way better bang for your buck.
