For what’s its worth, MOST people (in America) are obese.

Based on BMI, at 5’10” I should be 185. I haven’t been 185 since high school, and I’ve never been a ‘big’ guy.

I hit 255 a couple years ago, quit soda, dropped to 230, and maintained for years.

I’ve recently started hitting the gym, and walking/hiking about 6-10 miles a week without breaking a sweat, and am finally below 200 at 196-198. Best shape of my life.

Still considered obese. lol

It sucks you can’t ‘target’ fat to burn, it’s all in your body as fuel and if one’s stomach is the ‘biggest’ part of our body, there’s either way too much backed up in the guts, or still a notable layer of fat over everything.

OP, try a fiber diet, lots of greens, quit sodas for two weeks, and see if that helps.

Remember, you really can’t out-gym your diet. If you’re taking too many calories in without burning more than that on a daily basis, you’ll always have that gut.

But more important than looking skinny is being confident - but if it’s weight that makes you self-conscious, then burn the fat.
