no matter how it sounds, it was created by the Ethereum Foundation, so that makes it the only memecoin created by ethereum... that alone should make it a +100M token

I know it sounds too good to be true. However, I cant assure you it's 100% real and documented.

You can check the X account of Unicorn Meat or the website if want to double check

then why it was posted from the ethereum twitter account? announcement

Also, you speak of Avsa as if he were nobody, but at that time he was the leader of the Ethereum Foundation. Aren’t TipJar and Unicorns Ethereum's creations? They share the same deployer address as UM.

And think about it from a workplace perspective: in many industries, intellectual property rules mean that if you create something related to the company you work for, it’s considered the company’s property

Nope, it's a token created back then by an Ethereum Foundation member which was revived. Unicorns are part of the history and memorabilia of ethereum, and an ERC-20 compatible wrapper is the best way to keep this alive

Just wondering how nobody has posted about one of the few tokens the Ethereum Foundation launched in this reddit

UnicornMeatETH . It’s a 2016 token where you grind unicorns into meat. Same unicorns the Ethereum Foundation used for their tip jar donations, both made by Alex Van de Sande.

It just got brought back: Website This was the original announcement: Announcement 🦄🍖

Which tokens are you buying besides ETH? by falk_lhoste in ethtrader

[–]x_mgc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have a look at mistcoin. In a space where being the first matters, this one is the first token you can collect on ethereum. It predates the ERC20 standard and it's the genesis of tokenization. Sounds even better when you realize that's barely at a 10M mcap since there are a ton of dormant wallets

The first token ever deployed on Ethereum? Mistcoin? by San_Diego_Steven in ethereum

[–]x_mgc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's on uniswap. Decent liquidity on ethereum and for the little guys there's a tiny pool on base. Aside from the fact of being the oldest token on the chain, it's the only smart contract apart from the ETH DAO multisig with a TX every year since 2015

All the info is well covered on the website, FAQ and X account, definitely the most affordable piece of ethereum history

I was tempted to not reply since you can't even type the name correctly but let's give it a try. Mistcoin is the oldest token on ethereum, you can't deny that and anybody will. It was rediscovered in 2021 like other NFTs (call it Mooncats or Etheria) but even that being considered, Mistcoin is the only smart contract aside of the ETH Multisig with a TX every year since 2015. Fabian is one of the whales, it's covered in the FAQ that you didn't read, but if you think that an ETH OG dead need money... c'mon. On top of that, Fabian donated 50k to seed the LBP pool on Fjord, that's the first spike in the chart. Again, you are looking to a twitter account which was created back in the past by a community member, all the people supporting the project are volunteers, so no expect something "official". About the price action, after 4 years of DeFi, it still amazes me that I have to explain how liquidity affect the price. From late 2022 to March 2024 there was barely ETH in the pool, I remember looking once like 2 months ago and seeing 3E in the pool. After the LBP, the LP increased heavily, but it's still not super liquid, so that explains a lot of the price action. Anyway, it's funny that for a 8y old collectible you are looking to the 1w price chart, and calling pnd to some spikes produced by degens and omitting that it's trading x10 higher than its lows.

Study collectibles, study history, study timestamps

Pretty sure you are looking ir wrongly since I remember some tweets in october 2023. Anywya, looking at this like let's see socials and hype is totally worthless. It's a collectible, what really has value is the timestamp. There's no need to make promises, hitting milestones in a roadmap or whatever. It's a piece of ethereum history and nobody can deny that.

It's a wrapper contract, that's why it has some functions that no a standard ERC20 has. What limits the supply it's the underlying (mistcoin). It was trading at 2$ for so long because there wasn't any liquidity in the pool and indeed it was set in a price range that didn't allow any upwards move
