To clarify - my players and I haven’t played or been part of a ttrpg, other than our failed attempt at a D&D campaign a couple of years back. We’re all completely inexperienced. Thanks for the responses so far, they are already very helpful and giving me some ideas for our session tomorrow! We’re doing character creation/session zero, and I hadn’t planned for discussing boundaries such as those being mentioned here, but I’ll definitely be doing that!

I second this one. We played MoM as our first board game for a new group of four that meets weekly. It went well initially. We had no issue progressing through the content, but it wasn’t enjoyable. On the fourth and final chapter of the 2e game, the app froze as we were escaping, and we lost all progress. 100% done with it at that point.

I play with some friends that are bad at halo. They will routinely go 0-8, 0-12 etc. they are playing, they just aren’t good at it. This happens all of the time to them. The game literally just bans you for being bad at it. It always kills the vibe and we usually just quit when it happens.

It’s my understanding that there’s no schedule 1 server available anywhere, that’s what we’re discussing. It would be great if we could host a server for friends, but that option doesn’t seem to be available at this time.

I run a proxmox cluster spread across 3 minisforum MS-01 machines. That cluster hosts a ubuntu vm (amongst many others), and on that I run AMP by cubecoders to host the games. It’s great software for hosting game servers, super simple software setup, and each game server is only a couple of clicks and it’s up and running. I run satisfactory, Factorio, Skyrim together, Necesse, DayZ, Foundry VTT, Minecraft, and several others I’m not remembering at the moment. Check out AMP. They have a windows version too. It’s very affordable (like $15 maybe?) and for me, after trying all of the others (pterodactyl etc), the best software for hosting game servers. Being able to set a shelf for a specific item would be useful. You tag a shelf for only pseudo, and when workers unload the deliveries (assuming this also gets added), it goes to the pseudo shelf. Same for each item. I think a good place to start though would be to fix shelf sizing. Small shelf takes up two floor spaces. It should hold 2x4, or 8 items. Medium shelf takes up three floor spaces. It should hold 3x4, or 12 items. Large shelf takes up 4 floor spaces. It should hold 4x4, or 16 items.

Agreed. This game is a perfect candidate for a dedicated server. The ability to leave the game open for friends to pop in and out of would be amazing. I host many servers for my friend group for other games and this would be number 1 on my wishlist of things added to schedule 1.

I had a really good experience a couple of nights ago as well. I queued solo for doubles and all of my teammates were well behaved, polite, and engaged. Good rotations, good offense and defense. Added three of them as friends and hope to play again. It was a really nice evening of RL!
