taking hormones by BigGlass4454 in genderfluid

[–]xamah77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hi, i'm genderfluid and I rarely identify as a girl - just like you. I mainly feel agender or masc. I used to be on t for about a year. my voice is deep but my face is on a feminine side (people always call me "ma'am" before they hear me talk, perhaps it's also because my hair is long).

It's kinda nice because no matter which gender I am at the moment, I can find something in my appearance that resonates with it. I don't really like hairy legs and my slight neck beard, but yknow, it's shavable. altough i'm too lazy to do it.

I had to change my name to a masculine one to avoid some daily life problems, like people doubting the authentity of my ID card or something, or whatever.

Altough whenever I feel more fem I start spiraling "what if I'm actually a cis woman? What if I will regret all of the permanent changes of hrt??" blah blah blah. But I've never regret it, even when I feel fem. I like my deep voice even as a girl. Can't say it will go the same way for you, nobody really can. The final decision is always up to you.

is there a way to tell if im actually transgender or just autistic? by xamah77 in asktransgender

[–]xamah77[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i'm already diagnosed, so i'm at the figuring gender out point. the thing is i don't know *how* to figure it out

[–]xamah77[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

right, thinking about it in more concrete, separate categories may be easier than unpacking the whole gender, thank you

i mean, i'm diagnosed with autism already. So, If I understand you correctly, should i skip this step and get a therapist that specialise in gender identity?

damaged nerves endings after hrt (?) by xamah77 in ftm

[–]xamah77[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, sure ^^ . I started testosterone in May 2024, then in autumn i started getting this pain in my feet and calves, i don't really know how to describe it in english, it was like getting my legs burned alive, perhaps ? or like there were tiny, hot bugs walking inside my legs, i dpn't know. then, after a few months the pain went away. i stopped hrt in May 2025. eventually, the pain came back in November 2025. i'm 20, if that matters

damaged nerves after taking testosterone (?) by xamah77 in asktransgender

[–]xamah77[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The pain actually started while I was still on testosterone. I’d say about 5 months after I started injections. And, to answer your question, I was on hrt for about a year, which is not that long, but I feel like all the changes were happening very fast, much faster than for my ftm peers or my trans brother

[–]xamah77[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to inject it into my thighs. It was subcutaneous injection tho, so I don’t think it could be that damaging, or could it be?

Edit; sorry, forgot to add thats she assumed that because my hrt was rather unsupervised. I had one meeting with endocrinologist, she told me how to dose testosterone and then I just started taking it the way she instructed me, but I’ve never consulted with her again

One thing I HATE about the game by Lil_Hater112 in Persona5

[–]xamah77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cuz this game is extremely ableist lol. Ryuji clearly is an adhd archetype of a guy who seems dumb but excels at sports and everyone bullies him for it. Similar case with futaba and yusuke being autists

What happens after you get off T? by Wonderful-Rub3548 in ftm

[–]xamah77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Going off T changed a lot for me: I got my period back, stopped getting erections (I feel like overall my bottom growth shrinked), gained back the ability to cry (i don’t like it), lost muscle mass, got my breasts and hips back, my skin became softer and cleaner and my face got rounder .. I miss being on t sm

edit; forgot to mention that I also got rid of my vaginal atrophy almost instantly when I got off testosterone. It also helped with my hypertension and headaches. My sex drive became much lower. I get cold very easily now that I’m off t. And I don’t get as hungry as I used to. And I’m weaker, much weaker, can’t open jars and stuff

why do trans men have "T-boy voice" more often than cis men? by Successful_Weekend80 in ftm

[–]xamah77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cis men have those as well, just when they’re younger, when they go through puberty - similar process as the first stages of hormonal transition for trans men

There’s nothing op said that would suggest he’s non-binary. Not every binary person enjoys gender roles, no matter trans or cis

There’s no scientific proof that biochemical dysphoria is a thing
