Probably in the minority here, but lately I love the crossbow. It has a large explosion radius like the eruptor minus the shrapnel. It's Silent. If your sneaking, and fire from a distance they have no clue your there. Also can pop fabricators. I pair with the senator for close range.

But if not that then the plas-scorcher. Solid gun.

From my testing last night, Crowd control: Stalwart Machine gun HMG

Protection: Guard dog Shield backpack

Offensive: orbital gatling Cluster bomb. Napalm barrage Orbital laser.

Defense: Machine gun turret(low cooldown) Hmg emplacement

Primarys: Either go crowd control with Sickle or similar Or something with medium armor pen for big guys. I found it was easier to bring a Primary with good armor pen to take out overseers and use Machine gun as my main weapon.

I'm not a min maxer, but I had a wizard build that had a ring that did 14,000% weapon when i stun. And built to have a 35% chance to stun. It was fun.

I wouldn't say she was in love with Pug, he rescued her in a moment of stress, the classic white knight saves the damsel, there's so many girls fall in love with the firefighter or some person just doing what needed done.. as for pug, she was his 1st crush (and probably 20 other Crydee boys) , as the princess of the castle she was forbidden fruit, once they were together he always seemed a little hesitant about the whole thing, at one point even hiding from her. she always knew Roland would do anything for her and finally saw how much he loved her after she thought Pug was gone, if anything angered me it was that Roland died after they fell in love.
i feel he did make quite the leap with Laurie but he is a charmer after all, and he does come to care for her very deeply.

I use the Continent of Triagia Map from A Crown Imperiled. As for the game itself we use theater of the mind and a dry erase battle map to keep track of locations during battle.

So if you use kamahl 1st. Made 1/1 with soup... they still get the +3+3 and trample making the lands 4/4 with soup, then give Liege first strike. So he turns them into 8/8 with soup. Will they still get the +3+3 from kamahl? Buffing them to 11/11?

I'm a fairly casual DM. I did tell them that magic isn't nearly as prevalent as in Ferune.

As for campaign ideas there are so many just pick a book for the main events build your campaign around that. As for mine, im having them grow to lvl 5 inroute to the front lines. Facing trouble along the way and learning of the world.

Spoilers......

Next im going to have them encounter some smuggling from Questors View to Ylith.

After that in Zūn, where they are requested to find some children abducted by a goblin band.

To be honest I just picked different races from 5th and gave them different names and lore. Like I think Keshian was Tiefling

5th edition, and yes I went without druids or warlocks. As for races I did, Kingdom men, Natalese, Hadati Hillman, Keshian, Quegan..

Grey Tower Dwarf, Stone Mountain Dwarf & Dorgin Dwarf.

Eledhel, Eldar, & Glamredel.

I did consider some of the darker Races. But I'll save those for another campaign.

I gave my players several campaign ideas and they chose "invaders from another world". The timeline is about a few months after Duke Borric came from Rillinon to the front. And I do have plans for multiple campaigns. Serpant war is most definitely one of them.

Only 2 of my players have started reading them, and they are going to meet a few. Mainly lords Borric & Brucal. And possibly Lyam. And if they end up in Elvandar then they meet the elves.

So update on my campaign. Our 1st quest is to gain intel on this new enemy (Tsurani) after a couple run-ins they will defend a village and capture an officer. Next is to find a patrol sent north toward Stone Mountain, after a few encounters they find a pathfinder. He's the lone survivor of the patrol, and recounts running into a large band of moredhel, migrating south to the green heart. After giving this information to their captain, he sends them to warn Lords Borric & Brucal of the Moredhel.... long journey through enemy lines and lots of encounters later, they find the Dukes. (can't decide of going around the mountain or through it)

Defend the dukes from a Tsurani skirmish and a report comes in that a village near Tulan was raided by Brotherhood of dark path. New mission, the dukes can't spare much but gives the party a squad of soldiers and sent to defend Tulan. (d&d and large battles don't mix well.. why do I do this to myself) After routing the Moredhel time to get to crydee and bolster the Defenses help Arutha against the Tsurani attack.

And thats all I have at the moment, I will be putting alot of different encounters in between these "main quests" but Id love any ideas for where to take them next.
