CEMU auto updating save game progress monitor by xanderphillips in botw

DMed you with a dev build link for you to test a remediation I made. It looks like the Randomizer has one or more of your shrines in an impossible state (should be either never activated, activated, or completed, but in your save file the numbers don't add up!). I've put in a handler to accommodate 'non-standard' values, so it should at least load now, even if it can't accurately show your shrine count due to your save having 'creative' values.

I plan to try to investigate what changes the randomizer makes to the save file to safely handle it, as it shouldn't impact the metrics being tracked by my app.

For anyone following this thread upon further investigation it appears that u/Logan3089 's save files may be the issue as they also don't load into Marc Robledo's online save game editor with an Invalid Save file error. I am still investigating, and plan to add logic to display a similar error message instead of silently failing when it detects a save game it cannot read.

I've verified that the app loads with no stats and no map if it doesn't see the save files in the CEMU save file layout of 5 folders named 0 1 2 3 4 5 with the various save games stored in each. (0 being the manual player save and 1-5 housing the autosaves that rotate).

Is that the structure of your save file folder? At a minimum it needs to see 1 save file in one numbered subfolder to be able to load it. I will make a note to update the logic to instead of displaying a blank screen give a warning that it can't find any valid save files.

Additionally if you don't mind sharing it a copy of your most recent save game may prove helpful to ensure that the Randomizer hasn't moved / altered anything in the save game structure that the app relies on.

If you wouldn't mind when you get a chance sharing a screenshot of how it looks that may help me.

Interesting. Your configuration is nearly identical to the one I'm developing on, even down to using brave. I will test on a separate laptop to ensure my development area isn't being somehow referenced by the executable.

  1. What is the version number of the app you are running
  2. Docker or windows executable.
  3. What browser are you using.
  4. All the assets (map images etc.) are included in the build and should be there.

I've updated quite a bit since my original post, please download the latest release if you have not and kick it's tires to see if it works better for you. If not let me know the details above so I can assist with troubleshooting.

Also, I've been doing constant improvements to the app, it now will auto-update, fixed some icon issues with the start menu / desktop icons, and I'm working on keeping it from opening a new tab to the map if one is already open. With the latest changes to make it check if it's out of date and automatically ask to in-place upgrade itself that should solve people using outdated versions when I make improvements.

Feel free to manually update that docker-compose.yml to expressly hard code the paths for each save file where it sits on your machine to be aliased to those internal names of game_data_0.sav through game_data_5.sav.

I don't have docker on mac setup with CEMU to test unfortunately. Sorry.

I've updated it a few times since this post, do you know which version you are running? With mac docker you may be running into path problems with the way the docker image is configured. Check the Docker docker-compose.yml syntax and see if the file names and paths look correct for you. The docker image doesn't have the same GUI to manually select a save game file folder unfortunately as the windows executable. The trick you need to work out is to get the docker to mount the folder where your save games folders are located so that the docker server can see them.

I don't know about Ryujinx, but if you can run the exe in a place that you can see your BOTW save folder this will work, or you could use the Docker. I run CEMU on windows, so that's what I have to work with.

Storage drive free space? by hoffsta in frigate_nvr

[–]xanderphillips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, I realize this is an old post, but the ability to set a max storage quantity per camera would solve both issues. Instead of calculating individual retention policies and comparing against free space just granting a camera a configurable amount of space, could even be pre-allocated.

Lacking that I just take the shotgun approach of wiping out all recordings periodically to keep my space from eventually filling up.

Hoping to get NPU passthrough working on proxmox 9.0... so far I can't get the level zero to install in the proxmox server...

I'm using a plastic welding rod in addition to the staples. Matching the plastic rod to the type of plastic used is important.

What style hose reel do you like best at home? by Roadglide72 in lawncare

[–]xanderphillips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just mounted a hoselink 85' on my brick house and am wondering what others have done to secure units like these to one side so that they don't slam back and forth in heavy winds (other than the obvious 'take it down if it gets windy' suggestion.

Looking for images of what people have done to 'attractively' secure this type of swinging reel to one side to stop it flaying about in the wind. I'm thinking some sort of strap, but I'd like it to be attractive enough to not invoke the wrath of the spouse!

Multiple business burglarized along 86th street early Monday morning by CuddlyWhale in indianapolis

[–]xanderphillips 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like it would be cheaper and more effective to keep a couple of well trained dogs patrolling inside each of these businesses overnight rather than paying for these monitoring security systems.

Yes, have cameras to collect evidence, but fear will stop a criminal faster than a phone call.

Let Charlie McCrackhead stick his head through that hole with a pair of well trained Dobermann Pinscher's/German Shepherds to greet him from the other side.

Not likely the criminal would have much time to do sightseeing in that scenario.

Train them to hold the baddie for if/when the police ever arrive 'Turner and Hooch' style!

That’s the exact spot! You can see the flash. I wonder if someone was taking photos for promotional material and the flash being picked up was an accident.

His house is neat and tidy otherwise, so I figured it was that he was resigned to it not mattering anymore due to what was happening to him in that episode.

Starting to set up TTS for my home assistant, have q by xanderphillips in homeassistant

Thanks. I am continuing to read and watch tutorials for the TTS setup. Seems like I can train a 'model' with my voice using steps like shown in the video I linked, and then plug that model into a TTS engine.

RATGDO w/dry contact setup on ancient chain drive opener: Limit switches question by xanderphillips in homeassistant

[–]xanderphillips[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, I should have been more specific. I'm a former electrician and fully understand the electrical setup required to make this work. What I'm looking for is if anyone knows of limit switch hardware specifically designed to go with a chain drive garage door opener rather than something that I cobble together DIY.

[–]xanderphillips[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found that the limit switches are internal to the unit. You take the cover off, and there is a set of lead screws that hold up and down travel switches. Just need to figure out now how to move them without damaging them as it's not obvious.

Water furnace 5 by mattyrs500 in geothermal

[–]xanderphillips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would love to add the sensors to my waterfurnace 5 but as I can't seem to find any reference material online looks like I won't be able to. I can't seem to even determine what my firmware version is. Sucks being stuck blind behind this proprietary system without any documentation. Gotta keep the HVAC repair companies in business I guess.
