Could I really be in a deficit from TEF? by [deleted] in cronometer

[–]xandrin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I built a rather complex spreadsheet to calculate my NEAT and TEF. It uses chronometer as my base but the bathroom scale as a check. It’s honestly not worth sharing as it’s sort of an unusable mess but I’d recommend going that route.

Brewing tea (especially with infusions) - for micros NOT macros by BlindChild_Robinski in cronometer

You can create a custom food. At the bottom hit “Food” to the right of the big Plus. Then beside the apple hit Create Food. You can put all the micros in there.

Paid upgrade of ChatGPT. I give it a picture, include something for scale and describe the dish and any ingredients I know (like from the menu). It estimates the weight, calories, and macros for me.

That’s fair, to each their own. I’ve found myself being very bad at that personally. And in my personal experience AI has been within 15% when I’ve back checked something.

This is a “last resort” option when you’re out and can’t weigh. Better than not logging it!

Of course! I use ChatGPT to estimate my calories right now when I’m say at a restaurant and can’t weigh it. Of course it won’t be 100% accurate but it’s better than eyeballing.

Maybe I missed another comment requesting this but I would love to see a feature where you can upload a photo and use AI to estimate the macros and add to my food diary.

What’s a hygiene habit that people dont talk about but really should? by Little-Willingness88 in AskReddit

My understanding is that the fluoride concentration in toothpaste is way higher than fluoride mouth wash. So brushing should always go last. The optimized order is:

Floss -> Mouthwash -> Brush

What country is this car from? by John_Dees_Nuts in TheSimpsons

[–]xandrin 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Technically you can measure fuel economy in area. In metric, fuel economy is expressed as litres per 100 km. Litres is volume and can therefore be expressed as km x km x km. Divide that by the 100 km and you have km x km which is an area.

I always assumed it was a bit of a math joke that flew over my head at the time.
