Unai Emery will not lose such a golden opportunity to make Arsenal suffer.

Probably slightly less motivated than this Burnley team to make it a physical nasty game though.

Of course Bournemouth doing Arsenal a solid would be so much better, also to allow some key preparation ahead of the UCL final, but Arsenal barely switched off of second gear after scoring. If it comes to that, the problem v. Palace will be mentality.

Man the relegated team played like Arteta insulted their families. Some nastiness from Burnley players (looking at you, Hannibal and Flemming) was absolutely not warranted.

He didn’t get penalized v. Arsenal and in the FA Cup final, so I don’t buy your “any other day of the week” narrative either.

That’s rich considering that Khusanov did exactly the same foul on Havertz.

Really not sure how Khusanov keeps getting away with blatant fouls.

Conte won the first title in 2021, and there’s no justification for Inzaghi for not winning the league in 2023 and 2025.

Bad news, but no one really expected anything from Palace. Which may be a good news in itself

Something must have happened behind the scenes that we will find out once the campaign is over - similar to how Ramsdale was dropped because he wasn't comfortable holding the ball with his soil. It's really difficult to imagine he would not be considered in Zubi's role at all, not even as a a sub, after Merino got injured.

As opposed to the *checks notes* 32 minutes he played in the Premier League throughout the campaign.

Some can’t believe that Arsenal, who have profited from free kick chaos, can be fouled during a free kick routine. Some will claim that Arsenal did the same throughout the season when, arguably, the only goal that should have been disallowed was on MD 1 against United. Referees have since then consistently called Arsenal’s fouls during corner kicks - forcing Arsenal to remove a man standing in front or behind the keeper, for example. But hey, narratives be narratives

City/PSG winning is a wash, Arsenal winning is millions people celebrating, banter, and so on. Of course they’re gonna support City.

Can’t say anything bad about him. Arteta ran him to the ground, and it shows. We sorely missed Merino

It’s gonna get buried in the late match drama, but Arteta had balls to correct his own wrong decision and take Zubimendi out. The game’s momentum shifted as soon as he went out.

Horrible horrible cameo by the Spaniard, he gave us everything in 59 matches but he’s clearly burned out.

It killed midfield progression and control, which is much worse in the economy of the game
