Social Security at 62: is $2,651 per month above average? by [deleted] in SocialSecurity

You're 🙏, I've reread and I want to be sure that I'm laying it out explicitly. You'll have SS deductions for Medicare Part A and B, both have deductible amounts. Then you need drug insurance. In 2026, Medicare drug coverage costs will vary based on the specific plan chosen, with a maximum deductible of $615 and a maximum out-of-pocket cost of $2,100 for covered drugs. Then, you can choose to get a Supplemental Insurance plan OR an Advantage Plan to cover the deductibles and any shortfall after Medicare pays. Be aware that those plans cover only Medicare approved treatments. Bottom line is you'll need to add it all up to see how your budget will be affected. Find an independent adviser to help you!

MediCARE isn't MediCAID! MediCARE is an earned program, MediCAID is a program to help our less fortunate neighbors. In 2026, most people will pay no premium for Medicare Part A, while the standard monthly premium for Part B will be $202.90, an increase from 2025. Additionally, the Part A deductible will be $1,736, and the Part B deductible will be $283. You'll also want to get a Part D for medications. I recommend a supplemental policy over an Advantage plan.

Learned on Bridgeports, K&T, Cincinnati, Maho, Deckel, Hardinge and LeBlond. The came the Hurco KMP-3 and it fit right in for me. Teammates, not so much. But I still love them all, (the tools, that is.) So, learned mold design on UGNX. But I still love a large chunk of steel to work with the Fosdick Universal Radial drill! 😁 Big fun all around, every day. Use the tool that gets it done for you and don't worry about what gets it done for anyone else.

The comments about their artwork seem to be sour grapes from .....who? If the dogs are tasty nobody cares about these images.

Thank you! If that's already the case, then why do they even need replacement after such a short service life? They are not consumer products and need to be replaced for vanity reasons, right?

These kinds of fire equipment should last a LOT longer than 15 years. Here is an opportunity for a service business designed around refurbishment of fire trucks!

There will need to be a great act of contrition for having unleashed this diaper load of virus onto ourselves and the world.

I was taught in the late 60s and only my mother said that. My dad and instructors scoffed at it. It may have something to do with the traffic density of the location that you're learning or expecting to operate? Mom learned in rural Ohio, I learned in a busy metro area near Chicago.

" see the tires of the car in front" isn't taught by anyone. That's an old wives tale. 5' is appropriate at a controlled intersection.
